Roger has the best villains and songs, and he was always on tv. He had the most fun making them too and I love that he did a commentary for all 7 of his films on bluray.

Exactly. Sometimes followed by Lethal Weapon or Red Heat cut to shredsGladiators, Blind Date (!) and a Roger Moore Bond was great Saturday viewing for this young feller.
Thinking about it, when you look at Brosnan's era people only want to remember his first movie aswell, GoldenEye.
Maybe in future there should just be one movie per actor.
Connery and Moore both got their best in their 3rd outing -- Goldfinger and Spy Who Loved Me
A salient point. What I said now looks quite silly.
They will never move away from Batman lolDB5 from Jazzinc which they’ll make at some point after they shift from Batman.
Given Eon’s really hands on, restrictive approach to these sorts on things I would say absolutely not.I was just wondering…
Has anyone considered the idea that Hot Toys’ new 007 license is for… a _new_ 007?
Legal snarls aside, we know the film producers are prepping a new film and recruiting a new star.
Aren’t Hot Toys more likely to issue figures promoting newer films than legacy characters?
Just wondering…

Obviously a big “if”…but I do think HT is savvy enough to try and wow us with the first offering. I doubt a tux’d Bond will be their first offering.Wich Goldeneye characters we might see? Bond, Alec and Xenia?
So you think we will get only James figures? No villans and girls?Obviously a big “if”…but I do think HT is savvy enough to try and wow us with the first offering. I doubt a tux’d Bond will be their first offering.
The NTTD Bond look certainly has recency bias working for it, but unless he’s loaded with accessories and REALLY well done, I don’t see it being that popular. I’m a huge Bond fan and, on balance, I’m mostly lukewarm on Craig stuff. There are some great sequences and CR is very solid, but felt more Bourne than Bond (this seems to have happened post ~2005 with the Bournefication of characters like Bond, Jack Ryan, Alex Cross, etc.)
So - to answer you - I think either the Dam sequence or Cuba sequence make for strong opening contenders. This would hit the nostalgia factor and also the large but somewhat obscured community of 1/6 military buyers. Throw in the accessories of the mines, watch with laser attachment, etc. and it’s a big win out of the gate.

I thought Pierce really hit his stride and established his style with The World Is Not Enough too, and the same for Daniel in Skyfall. Poor Tim never got the chance with a third film.
