Wow Jaxon...that black suit looks great....hope HT is watching!

Ordered this version today. Had my doubts until I viewed more videos and read some more of the discussion in here. Should have him by the end of the week.
Was going to pass, thinking "Do I need another version of Cavill's Superman?" Then I realized, "Wait a minute! How many Fetts do I have? How many Captain Americas? Batmans?" I like Cavill's take on he Man of Steel and Snyder with his team of artists have come up with an amazing look for the character...I like it.

So....I'm looking forward to adding a few thoughts and images of my own to the thread later in the week....in the meantime, here's another look at the BvS version...one of my favorite figures....



I just love the look here...can't wait to see the variation the JL version has.

Isn’t this the same scene already in the bonus features? A deleted scene but with the black suit?

It was included as a deleted scene on the Josstice League Bluray release. Snyder was actually annoyed when he talked about it, they didn't ask him before including it. Snyder shot the scene for his original project and it will be included in the HBOMax release next year, he just wanted a small teaser scene for the fans to show off for the JusticeCon event this weekend. I'm glad he's not showing unknown stuff, I want to be surprised when I watch the movie.

It's kinda crazy, but we may get a "second run" at Justice League. There's no way Hot Toys doesn't at minimum produce Black Suit Superman, it's such low hanging fruit and it'll sell. We may finally get Cyborg, and the Batfleck figures may get a reissue. All the JL figures sold out when the SnyderCut was announced, there's certainly demand for the figures.

Yeah I was going to say the same. I'm also glad there was no new footage. That was enough to show the black suit. Although I think the finished teaser trailer for Fandome will have to have a lot of different stuff in it to show the masses it is a totally different film.

I already made sure I picked up Aquaman and The Flash as I knew they would go quickly once the Snyder Cut was announced. Even more so if HT goes for Cyborg, which they surely will considering he is apparently the heart of the film and proto made as we all know.

That's what the word is right now that he's waiting to show the actual new footage/trailer at DC Fandome. Justice-Con was an unofficial thing by fans which is why he just showed a small clip, sort of like a thank you from him I believe. I can't imagine how difficult it much be to have to change all those scenes with the blue suit to black. I know it's not much in the grand scheme of a 3hr+ movie and Sups doesn't show up in costume until the 3rd act, but I'd think it's a lot more work than just a 1 button click and *poof* all those scenes are changed blue to black.

Sideshow are usually pretty solid at getting replacements at least.
Mine arrived Wednesday & my light up head wouldn?t light up at all, tried everything.

Supes finally arrived. I love how his newly chromed body shines under that suit. Gives it a more lifelike impression. I've just added Jaxon's drape cape, which is a major upgrade from the stock which is, as noted, a step down from HT's BVS Supes cape. Also swapped out the waist grabber and oversized post with a small crotch stand I had. That tall post just *****ked too much with the silhouette, and the waist grabber added too much bulk in his torso. Other than that addition, I may add a touch of black and gloss to his hair, as it comes off a bit flat and brown on the figure, despite the deep black and slicked look of the films. I need to be careful though, cuz I've seen that attempt go sideways on customs in the past.

It's a solid upgrade from the BVS in a ton of small subtle ways. The paint job on the head sculpt is a little improved, the suit colors are an obvious jump in color, the chrome body paint adds a great effect. The cape is a small step down, and the headsculpt and hair color could've used a bit of upgrading, as well as those wonky pointy shoulder sculpts. But overall, I'm well thrilled.

To hell with it. I just rocked out my acrylics and a tiny brush. My goal was to just get his eyebrows and sideburns a little bushier are more defined. I also think it helps a smidge with likeness, as Cavil's eyebrows are much thicker than what's on the sculpt. The difference is really subtle. The tweaked version is on the right.

Looking at this made up my mind about contacting Sideshow about my figure. The collar on mine has several mold imperfections and crooked, sloppy blue paint. Small detail but it's noticeable from several feet away. The cape also has several snags on it and the torso is rather loose.

Hopefully I'll hear something positive back.

If Hot Toys does any more figures from the Snyder Cut I have to imagine the black suit Superman will be one of them. If so I may have to get him.

I think it’s one thing to expect Superman. Not sure how many completely new figures we’ll see. Probably depends on how well received the film is. I’d be surprised if Hot Toys does a lot more honestly.

Yup I think that is something A LOT of ppl don’t quite understand yet. Snyder isn’t using ANY footage that Whedon shot and it has already been said that about 12mins or less of Synder footage is in the Theatrical cut. At Justice Con he actually said he’d burn his film before using anything from Whedon. He also mentioned the film will be around 4hrs long. So this isn’t some simple extended cut with a few extra minutes and *cut* scenes added back in. This is a whole different movie

I did not know that. I thought it was a tweaked form of what we saw. Now I’m really excited to see it.

Many are assuming that it's a Ultimate Cut which is not.
