Climax I would also try and secure yourself a HT P1, I can see this one selling out
super fast and its going to be a scalper's dream. And yeh I would also get lost
first while you still can at retail price.

Seems I didn't word my post well. What I meant was the BDP2 is likely to keep going up in price. Maybe not drastically, but since he's long sold out and sought after he's gonna go up. It'd be best to get one now before he gets higher. He may not get as high as the AVP preds, but people know how much of a pain it is to get one of those. As it stands, Lost hasn't even hit in full force yet, but I'd imagine in a couple of months he'll still be easy to come by for less than two hundred, while BDP2 may not be. If I didn't already have one myself I'd buy it first just to ensure it didn't get any higher before I got the chance to.

Sorry I realize I read your advice wrong. You worded it properly I just misread it. Four little sons and 38 years on this Earth is sending me to early senility!:horror

It probably would make sense to get the P2 out of the way first. I don't see the P2 BD though increasing too much more. The regular version though could be a different story.

Just finished painting all the armor - going to do a few minor touchups to the body, mainly fixing the elbows to blend with the body. Also blow dried the dreads and wrapped them in yarn to make them fall better.

Here is a teaser pic of the chest armor:

Thanks Seth! Ok, here he is. Repainted all the armor, and did a bit to the body (very little) - tried to match his elbows to his body and gave up after an hour. LOVE this guy! Thanks to everyone for all the reference pics.

On to the show!

Damn, sweet pics. You must have an awesome camera and a great setting to take those pics, plus talent

did anybody else order this guy from alter ego comics?
i got it 10% off there. when are they gonna ship it?

I finally got the chance to assemble mine this morning. :banana
I see why you guys say the wolf seems so skinny now. He was my first HT predator so I really had nothing to compare him to. But now that I see the size of the Lost Predator I agree that he is really underweight, anyways, onto the pictures.

Finally got him today. What a great looking figure.
The neck ring issue doesn't really bother me but the boofy
hair does, I'll have to sort that out. Here's some picks.

Hey Nacho the boofy hair can fix it...

I have used a rubberband around the head (and dreads) and then heat the dreads with a hairdryer for a while.Wait a few hours, remove the rubberband and voila!!!
seriously..I have done this trick with mine and now looks like the promo pics from HotToys:naughty

Anyway, for the neck issue I have used an spare wolf collar on mine and looks much better :D

Regards

:horror Now that .... is a killer repaint bro!! A paint tutorial on this bad mo-fo would be great! PLEASE share your wisdom o'mighty painter of preds. :naughty

Thank you for all the amazing compliments!!! Means a lot guys.

Ok, tutorial - I'll do the best I can.

I used Folk Art Acrylic paint for everything, except where noted. You can get them at Michaels or Hobby Lobby.

Helmet:
Dry brushed Metallic Gunmetal Grey on all the grey parts. Then highlighted lightly with Metallic Sterling Silver. Used Metallic Antique Gold for the Gold parts. A very light dry brush to not get into the grooves.

Chest Armor:
Painted metallic gold on the gold bits - painted a few more bits gold than what was "screen accurate". Used Tamiya color Clear Red for the red clear bits. Then mixed metallic black with sterling silver for one dry brush coat, and then highlighted with sterling silver. Painted all the hoses with solid black.

Right Thigh Armor:
Drybrushed Metallic Antique copper and painted the circle with metallic silver. Black washed when done.

Left Thigh Armor:
Drybrushed metallic silver and then highlighted with metallic antique copper.

Rest of Armor:
Black washed the armor to remove some of the blue wash. Then drybrushed sterling silver all over.

Belt:
Metallic silver on the buckle. For the "leather" - mixed black with a brown to get the leather look and painted. Black washed the entire belt including the buckle.

Strings:
Black washed all of them to get rid of the "new look"

Feet:
Drybrushed a greenish color - i had to play around until i got the right color. Then very lightly dry brushed Future Floor Wax to get a shinier look. Dabbed the floor wax to get rid of the excessive shine.

I think that covers it. Let me know if you have any questions. Thanks again!
