Anybody want a figure of the Kryptonian giant Nam-ek?

Maybe, I thought about that too, but it's pretty small.

We won't have Kryptonite in MOS, so no green rocks.

One reason I want to know what the line-up is, is because I am trying to decide whether or not to buy this figure. I may do it regardless, because unlike many I think PAK figures are pretty cool - and I dont play with them that much to where the durability of the joints becomes a problem.

Plus HT will make us wait NINETY NINE FOREVERS until they release a figure of this complexity. And this figure looks awesome..... but then I could put that $75.00 toward the HT version. Decisions. :pfft:

See above. and yes. Only HT figure from this film i might buy... depending on how good superman looks.

I ordered Zod and Faora through BBTS as the DC Direct 1/6 scale statues. I think they look really great and I will have them within a week - as opposed to the 2+ years it will take Hot Toys to get to them (if they even do -- I think a lot of it will depend on how successful the movie is.)

$100 statue > $300 Hot Toy every time!

Some interesting concept arts and still. Loving the detail in all the armors. :snip:

Man, the costumes for this movie are just off the chain. I love all of them, just so beautiful.

Are those going to be out that fast?!! Now I am more confused than ever as to what I want to do! Please post pix when you get them kgr, we'd love to see them! Phone pix are ok too!

Those statues do look nice. I'm tempted to pick them up.

Please let us know what they're like when you get them in-hand.

The Cavill statue looks awful in hand... Some pics over in the statue forum... Way too pale and hair is brown not black

I was tempted by the statues, but I felt like the paint looked a little basic on the faces. I would love to see the final production look of them, though.

The pics above look great. So excited about the design of this movie. Is that from the Making of book? I almost got that, but was afraid it might be light on concept stuff since it wasn't listed as a straight-up art book.

Well, but Batman is inherently more believeable than Superman: he's a human, from Earth, lives in this dimension, has no inherent special powers and cannot fly. Almost nothing he does could not be learned in real life. Tough, but not impossible.

Superman just turns every bit of that on its head. We regular humans cant do ANYthing he does, except put on a pair of nerdy glasses :wink1: Actually there is room in my heart for both kinds of characters, the earthbound and the cosmic. Movies about both types of characters are fine, so long as they be well executed.

Now, Green Lantern..... I am still trying to figure out: which was worse, GL or the Fantastic Four movies? These are examples of cosmic done WRONG. I am hoping so much Man of Steel avoids all the pitfalls these films embody.

Green Lantern should have been done like Full Metal Jacket. The first half is hardcore training where the main antagonist is himself and his will to carry on, then we get to see him on the battlefield for the last bit.

See I always thought the first Green Lantern should have been like Training Day in space. Have Sinestro training Hal Jordan as they go to different planets searching for the bad guys, all the while audiances start to pick up on clues that Sinestro isn't as good as the Corps believes him to be, building up tension untill they end up on Koruger and Hal sees Sinestro ruling with an iron fist and abusing his powers. This would lead into the final battle of the film with Hal taking down Sinestro and the Guardians stripping Sinestro of his ring and sentencing him to exile on Qward. The stinger would then be Sinestro being handed a yellow power ring and being told that he needs to harness fear. In my opinion, that is how Green Lantern should have been, but they went for the fancy graphics that ended up looking like crap and tried to jam too much into one film. Also, I know GL doesn't exactly have a Batman or even Superman sized rouges gallery, but really? Hector Hammand was the best they could come up with? So sad.

..... that, and all the ho-ho-ho, hey-good-buddy joviality just..... ugh.

These films do not do well when pandering to the lowest common denominator, which is probably my biggest beef with F4 too.

EDIT: hey, was that Faora tearing that jet canopy to pieces in the last trailer, or was it Zod? If it was Faora, extra respect.

I just hope that this isn't one of those HT lines where they put out Supes and his father and that's it. I'd much rather see Superman and Zod up first, and I hope if they do a Zod he comes with his helmet.

He looks very menacing with the helmet on! I hope for that too!:exactly:

HT could make this happen in a 2nd HS, would be a lot better than cloud eyes
