Alex Ross artwork is the only thing adorning my walls. I have been a dedicated fan ever since "Marvels" came out, which I think was 1994, back when I used to work in a comic book store.

I was pretty young when I got those oversized books and I remember being disappointed, having got the Superman and Fantastic Four one, when I opened it up and found Bryan Hitch's artwork, rather than Ross' (which adorned the cover). I got to meet him at NYCC in 2008. Awesome artist AND a nice guy.

Yeah, I don't think it's bad when 31 out of 43 people liked it so far.

It's not a complete turd, but people are going to be expecting way too much if they want Batman Begins sort of quality.

Anyways, I'm just curious if HT will continue to flesh out this line like they said they would if this movie doesn't reach the heights many are expecting.

That's the thing, though; it's really too early to tell. There are still a lot if reviews to come.

as long as we get the main characters such as Kal El, Jor El, Zod and Faora. if they at least make these four, most of us fans would be satisfied.

Ah sorry, I'm just basing it off of a few friends who got early screening. So I guess my opinion is swayed by my trust in them.

But if you're going by rottentomatoes, usually the % doesn't change much after 50 reviews... I used to track this stuff a lot. I remember the TDK craze when it only had like 1 rotten after 40 reviews.

I'm going to see MOS regardless of the reviews. It has sparked my curiosity. I usually wait till after I see the movie to read the reviews. That's just me. I don't want someone else's opinion shaping mine before I walk in the theater.

i have the TPB for that and about a year ago, i bought "Dynamite art of Alex Ross" HC book. it seems he has improved on his painting technique just from the looks of the book.

That is an incredible book. My friend and his wife gave that to me for Christmas and it's just full of awesomeness.:rock

I think you are thinking of the wrong books. The ones being referred to have only Alex Ross interior artwork, such as Superman Power of Hope, Batman War on Crime, Shazam Power of Hope, Wonder Woman Spirit of Truth. There was also supposed to be a "Villian" book done but DC didn't want to publish it since it was just "artwork" and no story. Yeah right, like that wouldn't have sold, C'MON!!!:slap

If you like Bryan Hitch you should check out "Absolute Authority" a high quality oversized hardcover collecting 12 issues of The Authority, written by the extremely talented Warren Ellis. It's a pretty heavy book, but worth it's weight cuz it's the only way to read a movie-worthy comic run like that one IMO. I have to say that Bryan Hitch is probably one of my top 5 artists, right up there with people like Alex Ross and Doug Mahnke.

Just finished watching the movie and I totally enjoyed it. Looking forward to PO'ing MoS and Gen Zod.
