Now that 200 is out I wonder when they'll announce Jor.

Just got back from seeing this a little while ago; don't understand the compliants, the movie was everything I hoped it would be: a new Superman for a new generation. I guess to each their own.:dunno

Got Supes pre-ordered and will pre-order Jor-El when he goes up. I really hope they do Zod and Faora to go with them. Hell, I'd get an Amy Adams Lois Lane if they HT made it, I loved the movie that much. :rock

I guess we saw 2 diffrent movies.

No. You see, on this planet, there are things that exist that are called "opinions". Further more, I'm not the only one saying as much. Glad u liked it. You probably loved Sucker Punch too. More power to you.

So sick of all the condescending attitude from people who didn't like mos. I couldn't get through sucker punch, loved man of steel. Maybe the problem is you?

Get used to it, cause it's not the great movie you think it is. If it was, it would get better reviews. I still went, despite hearing real Superman and comic book fans tell me about the serious flaws in this movie. I gave it a chance, it wasn't a "Superman" movie, it was a guy in a Superman suit movie. Glad you liked. But I suggest you grow up and figure out, not everybody loves this crap.

It's your attitude that I think is what he has a problem with. Just because you say "it's not that great of a movie," that doesn't make it the truth. I don't care if you don't like it, I care if I like it. To be completely honest, your opinion doesn't mean a damn thing to me, my opinion matters to me. That being said, you're entitled to your opinion, just as I'm entitled to mine, but, at the end of the day, your opinion is just that; an opinion, so don't presume to present it as fact.

You're acting like a sensitive woman, simply due to the fact that you are trying to insinuate that I ever said my opinion of this film was any final authority or "truth". Go back to my posts, I have consistently framed my thoughts on this film as "my opinion".

That being said, you also cannot act like we're in a microcosm and ignore the deep criticisms that this film has received, thus far. That would make you a blind person.

I don't know.
Looks like you are making a statement. Not stating an opinion.
I liked the movie.
In MY OPINION, it was a great movie.
Now i am not saying you are in any way wrong in your opinion, as you are very free to state it, but how can that make the movie "not great" if i really liked it?
You thought it wasn't great. That's fair enough.
Let's not get down to the petty "You are acting like a woman" nonsense just because you don't like a movie.

Lots of those who did like it can't let those who didn't like it be.

Lots of those who didn't like it can't let those who did like it be.

And

Just because you liked it doesn't make it an amazing movie.

Just because you didn't like it doesn't make it a rubbish movie.

I also loved the film. I don't care what the paid critics think. Some of the most critically panned movies went on to become cult classics, and even a few of my own favorite films. Blade Runner? John Carpenter's The Thing? Both were critically panned when they were first released. Does that make them bad films?

No, I saw the "deep" criticisms [of about half of 140 people]that you mentioned, I simply disagreed with them. As Username mentioned, you framed your opinion as though it were factual in nature, if you want it to be interpeted as an opinion, you can't present it otherwise and say "that's your fault for insinuating otherwise."

Oh yea. No way people can misinterpret that. Jokes on me.

What makes it "not great", is the general "mixed feelings" about this movie, you know, from that thing called the greater public. Don't be fooled cause most on this DC ACTION FIGURE board, love it

You have to go back decades to find examples. It's gotten that bad, huh?

I was never "fooled" into enjoying it. The very idea is bizarre.
And my enjoyment is not based on everyone else's opinion.
What makes it "not great"(for you and others who didn't like it), is merely our opinion.
Please don't act like you are correct and we are incorrect.
You didn't like it. We get it.

It's like a bizarro world in here. I didn't like the movie but love the figure. I get a dumb *** comment, that I must have "watched another movie". Then I'm told not to state my opinion as fact, meanwhile every other posting saying the movies is great, is complementary followed by a string of other posters having nerdgasms. Hilarious ****.

I said "went on" to become favorites despite the initial negative critical reception. That doesn't happen over night. They also happen to be two examples of my favorite films, which the critics hated, but I couldn't care less that they did. Popular opinion does not create fact.
I really enjoyed Man of Steel. It's totally cool if you did not, but don't think you're going to talk me out of favoring the film or make me feel foolish for doing so. It's not going to happen, no matter what you or the irrelevant critics think.
