I said "went on" to become favorites despite the initial negative critical reception. That doesn't happen over night. They also happen to be two examples of my favorite films, which the critics hated, but I couldn't care less that they did. Popular opinion does not create fact.
I really enjoyed Man of Steel. It's totally cool if you did not, but don't think you're going to talk me out of favoring the film or make me feel foolish for doing so. It's not going to happen, no matter what you or the irrelevant critics think.

Could give two ****s about trying to "convince" you of anything.

What makes it "not great", is the general "mixed feelings" about this movie, you know, from that thing called the greater public. Don't be fooled cause most on this DC ACTION FIGURE board, love it

And despite all the *****ing on this site, Iron Man 3 got 83% from your vaunted "audience meter". Yet it's widely viewed as the weakest next to part 2.

Weakest next to 2? All that's saying is that it is the second best Iron Man movie... which doesn't sound bad and seems accurate compared to ratings (with Iron Man 1 being the best rated, 2 being the worst).

And that is a number gotten from tens of thousands (eventually hundreds of thousands of people). It is the most solid piece of data we can go by.

I didn't like MoS as much as this board seems to at the moment, but I'm not going to ignore those ratings and say everyone should think it was total crap.

I liked the movie.
I don't feel that anyone who didn't like it is taking away from my own enjoyment of it.
Even one who somehow feels that the *only* possible way to view the movie is bad.
It still doesn't ruin my enjoyment.
And i hope no-one takes my enjoying the movie like an attack on them personally if they didn't like it. I disagree on favourite movies with people i know all the time.
But i come on this forum for fun, and that's getting sucked out here.



I am about to add the fun back in. Or at least remove the buzz kill.

.... So.... here is hoping that we get to see Jor El soon, and that they put Supes on a diet. Still very torn about POing this guy.

Am seeing the film this afternoon and can't wait! I am crossing my fingers that its better than IM3. Which wasn't a horrible film, but just not what I want to see from a superhero film.
