Just Finished Playing MGS 3 HD

Really Awesome Storyline! the Sneaking suit you almost get it towards the end of the game, and it takes less damage than the other suits.

i didn't Preorder Naked Snake yet, but after playing the game, i'll preorder it

Judging by the lack of activity or concern for either MGS figure, I think everyone took the second option.

There's not much to be active or concernend about until we get more pics or info or these two released, this isn't an "IT" license where its fresh in peoples minds and they are hyping on it, it's a classic slow--burn one

I think its also more the case of there's no MGS games right now as well as these being the least wanted of the series.

If they had a HD remake of 1 and released those id say there'd be major hype

I would have to disagree. This really should be far more hyped than it is and I entirely blame Hot Toys for it. They show off a lackluster The Boss, pick the least iconic outfit for Naked Snake, and throw both figures out to dry in the sun with very little actual promoting or interest. The timing was terrible too. This IS a huge franchise and people are always excited for it. Even the 3A Rex created a huge storm with its announcement and preorder, and that is an obscure highly expensive collectible.

Simply put Hot Toys messed up. There is little to be excited for from them even as Metal Gear Solid fanatics.

That's not to say that this figure isn't popular. The reality is, that video game forum has never been as active as other sections of the board, such as: the Marvel and DC sections. So, I wouldn't base the popularity of this figure, solely upon the number of participants in this thread.

It's a fact that Hot Toys took too long to do something with this license, but they are releasing the figure this year (better late than never, right?). Also, considering that InFlames manufactured their own bootleg version of camo version of Snake, a Sneaking Suit from Hot Toys seems like a wise choice for an initial release - just to differentiate themselves enough from the competition.

Hopefully, Hot Toys can concentrate more on their VGM licenses next year. This year seems to be all about the Marvel movies, and Batman.

Snake is a good choice for the next DX treatment. He could have a non eyepatch head that has the PERS and then another angry head with an eyepatch and headband and no PERS. Of course he could come with two or three camo outfits. Really easy and logical choice. I'll just hope it happens since I'm not interested in this outfit at all and I'm not going to buy a figure just to sell off half its pieces or something.

I don't know what the basis is for Hot Toys choosing if a character will be a DX or VGMS/MMS/MIS, but based on the past 12 DX releases, not one Video Game-based character was given the DX treatment.

With the way Hot Toys is marketing MGS (very mediocre effort), I don't think they will consider Naked Snake (even Solid Snake) for a DX release.

I plan to just get multiple headsculpts, then kitbash other variations of Big Boss.

That's would be a great figure!
Tho both heads better be with PERS and with a common interchangeable "headband-hair" piece, similar to the Jack Sparrow DX.
And I'd love to see standart, splitter and snow camo suits.

I really feel that we may only get these two figures and HT will Shaft us and that they are using the buy interest in these to gauge if they should release more.

Well since the Lt. Gordon "SWAT Version" has everyone with 100% certainty a commisioner version will be along. naked Snake "Camo Version" must also be a certainty
