I think the MGS4 characters are the worst in terms of design, couldn't care less about any of the characters there. MGS1, MGS2 and MGS3 are the only ones I really care about. No matter what they do with Raiden to make him appear cooler, he will always be a sucky character to me. lol. No offense to Raiden fans but MGS4 is the last on my list.

^ MGS4 are the most complex designs, sort of science fiction futuristic and quite a departure from the previous ones, i love em all MGS1, 2, 3 & 4

I disagree, from an artistic viewpoint id say MGS3 is the dullest in character design. Everyone wears fatigues. zzz

MGS4 has the most interesting looks and would be very cool to see in figure form. Though i look forward to 1, 2 & 4 figures equally

Id be pretty shocked if a VGM Solid Snake didnt come with a ton of weapons and accessories.

I hope your right, MGS1 and 2 Snake i could see them completing. Other than weapons Snake would only need his scooba gear, IR goggles and smokes. MGS2 Snake would only need the raincoat ,handcuffs (and Pliskin outfit if were lucky)

Johnny was great in MGS4, he was a character this time and his awkwardness was part of the story because he wasn't on nano-machines.

I'm with Nova. Johnny was really cool in MGS4. The cutscenes in MGS4 with him & Meryl fighting off enemies together is one of my favs in the game.

I hated that scene. I thought the make out thing and throwing Meryl to Johnny just as a way to write Snake out of their lives was honestly a bunch of stupid plot devices. It's part of why in retrospect I think MGS4 is by far the worst of the main games.

I was actually thinking more about how cool the action was in the cutscenes, not the plot. Meryl & Johnny were really in sync with each other. Showed what Johnny was capable of. Raiden vs Vamp might have been the standout action cutscene for me though in MGS4.

Yeah just from an action perspective those scenes were great most definitely.

As for stupid plot devices being the norm I would disagree. Aside from Peace Walker and MGS4 plot devices in MGS were historically quite engaging and well done to me at least. The ending to MGS2 was pretty crazy, but in a good way. It also really contributed to the main messages of the game, such as the idea of the gamer being Raiden, a naive person who chooses to believe everything he sees and hears unconditionally but is ultimately punished for it once things start to break apart toward the end. Over the last decade people have heavily analyzed 2 and a lot of these findings are not only plausible and very likely to have been intended by the creator, but well they are awesome to say the least. MGS4 doesn't hold up nearly as well in that regard.

Metal Gear Solid is getting too little attention.

I just hope that in the release of MGS: Ground Zeroes, there'll be 2 or more HT MGS characters released in parallel. HT has to ride the video game release hype.

Imo MGS has far better characters for figure, all are in some way attractive to MGS fans and to those who just like soldier, merc figures

I could imagine that. They could have saved themselves some money by not making the boss or have done a deluxe naked snake with 2 bodies and separate uniforms like Bespin Luke.

I agree on Resi being more mainstream, but noway are the characters more marketable. Ive seen Snake win, or at least top 3, countless voted Videogame character lists. He's just a huge character in the Videogame world.

I'd really hate if your right looking at HTs track list, but i guess it depends on how the line does. I am confident we'll get more since i recall HotToys saying they have fans of the franchise working there.

We don't even have the first figures released yet so its not time to worry about the next ones quite yet. HotToys do have the full licence after all

HT could be doing the entire MGS series, if they were just doing MGS3 they probably would have added that to the teaser. It says 'Metal Gear Solid' which generalizes the whole series.

Very true hope im wrong but it showed Mgs3 and we got both of those characters.
