I pre-ordered her, but I agree that the headsculpt can be improved. Her face looks too manly. I remember seeing The Boss in the beginning of the game as well, and she looks fairer but still looking like a bad-ass.

Who knows? HT might be improving her face sculpt. They were able to do improvements to HT Avengers Thor at such short notice.

Babydoll's face was completely redone too. While I appreciate that Hot Toys is starting to consider fan response more, I still have an issue with their silence on these matters. If you're considering changing things up then please just let us know. I don't want to find out a week before release that they overhauled The Boss and then have to frantically snag a preorder and get the funds ready and such.

Well I'm not sure on if the sculpt itself was changed. All I know is that the result was really really different, in a good way I might add.

The Boss might get similar treatment, but she alongside Snake will probably get delayed to hell too. Man it's hard to care anymore.

After the never-ending delay from announcement to figure pre-orders, i'd like to think they aren't stupid enough to continue to keep customers at bay, but this is hot toys afterall

That's the hope i was having for The Boss, but we wont be seeing it anytime soon .
So i do wish Kojima & Yoji will not let this slide as it is now.

I'm happy that HT decided to do a 'The Boss' figure, but I'm bummed with the result so far. I'm not exactly sure how digital sculpting works, but couldn't they get the already existing 3D model of her, & 3D print that? I know HT usually sculpts traditionally, but even a plain, non textured, 3D print of her head would be preferable to me, than what is shown so far.

Well I'm not sure on if the sculpt itself was changed. All I know is that the result was really really different, in a good way I might add.

Whatever Babydoll they had on display at various toy shows, is the one I like the best

I'm very conflicted.

I want The Boss, i have her ordered, but i need to cut something from my P.O list and she keeps coming to the top of the list.

After waiting so damn long i'm happy to get her and feel like i need to support the line in order to get more figures, but i'm just not feeling happy with her figure.

The head really is too manly, seeing the detail and effort they out into others makes this look half-assed. Her face to be sharper and more feminine.

There has been no pics of her with the outfit zipped up which is annoying.

And the price just seems too high

I want to support the line to get more figures, but i'm not satisfied with her, don't know what to do?

That's what I'm planning to do go on eBay get them $30 to 50 cheaper

Yeah I really wanted to rush buying them so I could get them as soon as possible, but while I still might preorder Big Boss I think I might wait and see how The Boss turns out. What's the most reliable and quickest way to get Hot Toys figures though? Seems like the American distributors like Sideshow get the figures last.

I'm planning to get an extra headsculpt and kitbash a Jungle Fatigue version of The Boss.
Can anybody please recommend to me
a good female body? I need a sturdy one, because she will have many accessories in her belt (the usual military gear), and I don't want her body loosening up quickly because it's carrying a lot of weight.

The seamless female body looks great, but is too pricy, and I can do with seams as she will be all dressed up.

It's pretty sad how little interest these two figures actually have at least going by the typical forums, which aren't that great of an indication anyway.

I can understand the laughter, but buying an extra headsculpt is cheaper than having one customized (at least US$140 for 1 custom sculpt) to make the likeness closer to The Boss of the MGS3 cutscenes.

I'm optimistic that Hot Toys will change the head-sculpt. They've gotten too many complaints about it to not do anything.
