For some reason I really want to be able to put a Leslie Nielsen figure in the doorway behind them. "Good luck gentlemen, we're all counting on you."

:lol

PLEASE tell me that the white strip lights will actually light up on the back wall too!!! I haven't seen any photos showing that yet. It would be a HUGE oversight if those strip lights don't continue all the way around like they're supposed to!

Very nice indeed. It seems that the inside is a little crammed and it should be slightly bigger. If this thing is under $1000, I will be tempted. Can't afford it, got no room for it, but *****k it, it's too good to pass up.

800-900 bucks. Great if lower. We gotta have this. Luke X Wing cockpit next I bet...

It is really sweet. Although I expected a lot if great stuff from this SDCC, I wasn't expecting both SSC and HT to be firing on all cylinders like they are. I want almost everything but space and cash are limited. Eyeing my pre-orders to see if there's something I can live without. Iron Whiplash is *this* close to being cancelled in favour of ~two SW figures. If it wasn't such an awesome figure, itself, I'd have cancelled it already.

SW is far far far more memorable than iron man. Especially when they reboot it in a couple years.

I really love the design of both Iron Monger and Whiplash (terrible movie but the design seemed close enough to the comics), but yeah, $400.00 for a 'cool' figure that I have no emotional attachment to vs SW... Hate to lose the NRD but thinking ol' IW is gonna get the boot! Thanks, VAS.

I'd keep Iron Whiplash, that looks like a really good figure.

I'm serious though. I was *this* close to canceling my Marty McFly last month for similar reasons and I ended up saying screw it and keept my order. Once I opened it up I was like "yeah, I did the right thing" as I was putting it together.

The experience of Iron Whiplash might be fun, you don't know. Worst case scenario, you get tired of it and then sell it.

D'oh. Yeah, true, I suppose... I'm really torn with it because I don't want to go 100% SW but still feel I should be cutting back as much as possible due primarily to space considerations. Last flex isn't until the 25th, so I'll think on it some more.

This thing is getting more and more tempting with every photo. So awesome looking. I have a shelf that it looks like it would fit no problem. I think I would have to wait until there's some sort of discount on it to live with myself though and to help try to justify it to my girlfriend as she walks out the door to leave me.

Iron man, avengers and that lot will be forgotten in 10 years time if not less. Star Wars lasts forever.

Don't think I have the space for this, period, but I'm the same. I'd wait for it to discount and I'd also want to be sure that the TIE isn't possiible before I committed to the cockpit.

100% agreed, and IW and IM MK III are going to be the last IM stuff I probably ever pick up (only other stuff I have from the license is Monger, WM Special Version and WM MK II - the last of which I'm considering selling, now). So total of 4 or 5 figures, max. But I just really love Monger's design. In 10 years I think I probably would still think it's a cool piece but yeah, questioning if I do need to own it. If I sell WM MK II and cancel IW, then I end up with a super focused IM collection of 3 figures, which is kinda cool, too. Anyway, sorry to take up so much space with my collection angst! Will get it sorted.
