Weird. So Sideshow got two units? :lol

1st Batch...?
Chris Farley Idk GIF

The hat will be improved on the second batch…..
There they go, copying InArt again. Making later batches better. Can’t they get their own ideas?

In all seriousness, this is the first time I didn’t buy direct from HK. Mostly because I wanted to experience this queue system on SS and I didn’t think or know if HK would get any artisan with the ‘usual’ markup.

With the delay of a charging notice I kind of wish I had just gone through TBA again.

First world problems of course. I’m just very excited to get this, as most of us are.

I got charged notice on the 4th but ended up putting on payment plan due to everything hitting. 12 invoices in 10 days is nuts!!! I've had to cancel some, luckily I only had shipping to pay with one man's hobby for my artisan, so sideshow one can wait. 😂

Hate to break it to you guys but the perfect figure simply doesnt excist. Youre all chasing a ghost.👻 Mainly becouse a character in a movie will come across differenntly in many scenes, let alone many movies. With different expressions, a tad different make up, maybe the hair site a bit different, he had less sleep so his eyes look more tired. Or had a sniff of coke and he's pumped with energy😂 lightning also makes difference. Contrast of the video. Watching it on dvd, blueray or 4k. Clothing could viarate in many scenes. I can go on and on honestly. For this reason its impossible to recreate the perfect figure, perhaps from a specific scene yes. Anyway i think in the last year of collecting they've improved alot regards of realism and clothing and i am greatfully thankfull how close they can get these days.

Yea it was a queued event situation and sold out in under an hour I think.

I think @SwedishHeat and I are the only ones on the board who have gotten charged for this unless others just haven’t been vocal about their orders getting charged?

I will definitely line out my thoughts when he arrives. Pics probably won’t come fast as this is one I’m going to want to take my time with and try to get the futzing right.

Yay, ultra-limited edition 1 of 2.

I got my shipping notice earlier, should be here on Tuesday. Probably won't get a chance to unbox till next weekend though.

I'm not as huge on accuracy as far as the figures go and that's across the board for any company. I even mentioned in the InArt Ron thread awhile ago that while JND are actually correct in that Ron's robes weren't worn/washed/hand me down looking in TSS in the way they were in COS, I like that InArt did it anyway b/c it adds some contrast between him and Harry.

You were very vocal about InArt's Legolas inaccuracies and rightfully so. But, the figure looks good to me, so I ordered despite those things in hopes that the end product will be just as good as the prototype. If they change things for the better, cool. If not, I'm fine with it as is.

Even with InArt Superman. It's not entirely accurate in color for both the blue of the suit and the cape color, but still makes for a nice figure despite it's short comings. I knew it was inaccurate when I ordered it. My problems with that figure are QC & final product quality related as they really have been with all my InArt figures.

Same thing applies here with Jack. The final product looks pretty dang close to what I ordered and based on reviews, there aren't any QC issues or a glaring drop in quality. Anything I want to do after the fact to enhance it is on me. I knew what I was buying when I ordered it and feel HT delivered on that.

I can live with inaccuracies if the final figure looks good like this Jack.
Okay, so you’re saying as long as the stock product you purchased is close as possible to the solicitation pictures and the quality and QC is great, you’re good and “can live with the inaccuracies”.

So why is that you’re quick to scrutinize stock figures (more so INART) by supporting mods and custom work? A bit contradictory since you said you’re good with figures with inaccuracies.

For example, your problems with INART Superman aren’t solely the “QC & final product quality”. You keep saying that figures look good [enough to purchase] despite their shortcomings, but then you turn around and criticize INART figures extensively on an accuracy-related front. With Hot Toys, you tend to be more lax. Picking and choosing much? Just my observations. You do you, collect how you want of course, but in my eyes, there’s a hole in your argument.

Again, no disrespect here.
