I think there is something wrong here... take a look at this pic:

It says T-800 assembly line, not T-700 :google
And the HT diorama looks exactly like this.

That's why it said 800.

Just saw the movie yesterday. Meh. Too bad too because this looks like an awesome figure. And all you'd really need to do get another out of it is get a Tru-type, another pair of the leather pants and a dark shirt. A Kyle Reese wouldn't be hard to bash at all. Would make a great display.

See how little texture is really on these in the movie? That's the same skull as on the T-Arnold, therefore it's an 800. 700 is a pre-production myth.

A couple images popped into my head as I read this statement.

It's an easy modification to do. Some of it is missing already.

For how weak it was in the movie, I'm fine with them painting the red instead of using electronics. If it were brighter and more prominent, I might have wanted it to really light, but the way they've done it is fine.

I don't disagree with you but the reason that the T-RIP is different is because its a hybrid.

An Endo built keeping the human brain and human heart inact. He's an Android not a Cyborg. It operates on the human impulses while operating the machine as well which is why Marcus was recording and when his face went blank as he almost killed that guy who tried to rape Blair. It took him getting shot to break the trance. He is more advanced because it moves past the mindless machine but through his actions at the factory he is unpredictable and therefore a less reliable soldier because the human emotion and free will are still intact to decide to go against programming and directives. That would be the reason that Skynet would choose to keep the Endos over the Hybrids

gotta disagree on definitions, at least the traditional ones. the infiltrators aren't technically cyborgs. by definition a cyborg has intergrated organic and technologic parts ie robocop, vader, the borg, lee majors. the t-101 can obviously function just fine without it's organic components so technically it's an android with an organic sheath. marcus needs both to live, he's a cyborg. an android, on the other hand, is a totally artificial creation made to resemble a person. commander data, c3p0, bicentennial man, cylons, the list goes on. any of the t's from 600 to 1000 are androids.
if you want to get REALLY technical, i'm a cyborg. i've got titanium and plastic bones in my left thumb. it's one hell of a hitchhiking tool:lol

as for marcus spacing out when confronting the rapists. i took it as him zoning out because of his past experiences, not programming. when you kill someone (trust me on this one), you tend to zone out on the subsequent ones. it's a function of post traumatic stress. marcus certainly had a lot of that. killing a cop, being lethally injected, waking up in an apocalyptic wasteland, being attacked by robots.....i'd zone out if i had to do dirty deeds.

but the rest of your statements about reliable programming is awesome.

I'm glad its painted because it looks better on display. I sort of wish that they painted the Endo's eyes too because as cool as the lights look you can't leave them on 24/7 on display.

Stock up on extra batteries. You'll need 'em anyway when Judgement Day comes around. :D

Are there any electronic geniuses here that can provide instruction on how to change from battery to electrical plug in power?

You will need to know the output voltage of the battery or batteries in the figure. If there are more than one they will most probably be in series so add them up to give you the final voltage.

Go to an electronics store and buy a converter that outputs the voltage that matches the voltage you have calculated. It must output the voltage as DC as well. Preferably buy one that resembles the style of a phone charger as it will have the output plug built in allready.

Most if not all electronics stores will sell the socket to match the one that goes with the converter.

You will then need to trace from the battery compartment of the figure to see which two terminals have the wires that go to the LED's. Solder the wires coming out of the socket to these terminals, trying to get correct polarity. The socket will most probably have a highlighted wire comming out of it. This one will be the positive(+).

You can either rest the input socket bellow clothing for easy access or if battery compartment is large enough and in an accessable place you can drill a hole in the lid of the compartment. Then glue the input socket to inside of lid to resemble a manufactured input socket.

Hopefully this helps.
