Just got him today and have to say he's definitely in the top of recent HT figures. Ironically also arriving today was final battle John Connor, which comes with a ton of accessories, a display base and a cool terminator snake. But I spent more time playing with Wolverine, who only has a few hands as accessories - he's so much more interesting than Connor.

Which is why I'm glad I'm getting Connor a day before Wolverine, I already know who'll be getting more favor from me once they're both in hand.

Got a nice birthday present today - a shipping notice - Friday delivery for me as well.

Looking forward to finally seeing just how good this figure is in person!

Not much articulation is lost in the transition from a regular true type to the new Wolverine muscle body. The double-hinged elbows are gone and the shoulders and upper arms are more difficult to maneuver, but all the important joints rendered useless on the previous muscle bodies (I.e. The neck, mid-torso, and arm swivels) are accounted for and useful here, nearly uncompromised by aesthetics.

It's tough to get him into some poses when fully dressed, though. I wish he had more flexibility in the jacket.

That's why I have his arms down to the side. I don't want to put too much stress on the jacket

A great pic. My favorite of the promo shots from the film. The only drag (IMO) on the figure is not having a rage sculpt to accomplish this pose.

i have mine in quite a cool pose, like ready to strike, the one thing i hate more than anything on the amazing figure is the belt buckle, it looks retarded when it comes unclasped and i cant get it not to pop open

Gonna hopefully order my Wolverine today. Cannot wait. I think his face is great. No it's not quite like Jackman but I don't care as it's still great face sculpt and it looks like the character of Wolverine.

Needless to say, I will not be displaying him with his shirt off.

Perhaps I need to re-think dude love. Rambo III / black tank, Dutch / brown vest and Wolvie / white tank. If I keep my Leonidas order, I may have too much man love on display

Not sure how but I managed to find the button and glue it back on. This figure in hand is absolutely stunning. Its not a perfect jackman sculpt but it captures Wolverines essence brilliantly. This year so far I recieved HT Iron man mk1, HT Thriller and HT Wolverine. Wolverine is definately my favourite so far.

Yeah, I don't see the fuss on the HT faces. I'd say fair enough if he was a complete departure from the character. But as you said the essence is clearly there!

Wolverine is an enigma. I wasn't sold on the sculpt from the promo shots. In hand, the sculpt is much better however, I admit it isn't their best character likeness.

It was one of my most antcipated figures for 2009 and it did not disappoint. Easily a favorite overall figure (top 3) regardless of faults. Go figure

I didn't say the sculpt didn't resemble Jackman, I merely said it isn't one of their best attempts (ie. Brando / Godfather | Arnie / T-800).

I am not hating on the figure, IMO HT nailed the essence of the character with a superb new body, great tailoring and a good sculpt. One of my favorite pieces purchased in 2009.

I received Wolverine (from Sideshow) last night. I haven't opened him yet so he's still sleeping in his box. I probably won't open him for a while since I'm moving but all the pics I've seen are awesome. I can't wait to display him.

I initially purchased him to be display with RAH's Magneto (since he's all alone) but I can't picture these two displayed together... This Wolverine is just too awesome to be displayed with this "toy" Magneto (just my opinion).

I've truly enjoyed this thread (so many valued opinions) and thank everyone for all their helpful hints and pictures.
