Perhaps it should be moulded a bit like the predator mandibles so we could choose to have the egg flaps closed or open.

I think HT got off lightly on this one... they barely made minor changes to the face, corrected the second thumb and everyone's happy...
No way can this compete in terms of accuracy with the Predator.

Actually, we don't really know that, as far as I know there have been no pics of this figure with anything to give it scale, just assumption it's the same size as other Alien figures.

The mouth is still horrible. Thats the ONLY thing they needed to fix. And they didnt. They made it a bit better, but still it is not the Alien from Alien.

It's not very accurate and that is always the case for all HT Alien figures. However, I still pre-ordered it from a local retailer.

I have the Medicom Alien and I love that as well. However, I will still buy this figure because I am a great Alien fan and honestly, there isn't that many Alien versions that HT can churned out to milk us compared to the numerous variations of T600 from Terminator and Joker from Batman.

It sure as hell wasn't the ONLY thing they needed to fix.

The skull and the hands, both just as "iconic" as the mouth, were far from acceptable.

It looks a LOT better to me. Much closer to the original. It's not perfect, but it looks pretty impressive now.

What the heck are you guys talking about? You must have some sort of sixth Alien sense. I'm a stickler for detail too but geeze I don't even see how this is different from the first time they showed it. It always looked cool. I like Alien. I got lots of Aliens. I'll get this cause it's cool. They changed it, I saw no difference... I liked it before... I like it now. Whatever, be happy
