I STILL haven't ordered this. :D

And it's STILL available at discount Prices at Alter Ego and other Dealers. Hmm...

But I'm STILL really looking forward to seeing in hand pics as well.

I was debating the issue, but since Sideshow announced that they are doing a 1/4 maquette of Big Chap, this is so not ending up on my shelf.

Sideshow maquettes ???? all.

I'll probably buy it somewhere down the road, it's just not a priority right now.
Which amazes me, since I'm a huge Alien geek.

You have the Medicom one though right? I'd probably be less pushed to get this if I had that one already.

The plusses of this figure over Medicom's don't offer much drive to get both, other than scale with HT figures, there's no strong trait over the Medicom to make the HT figure seem needed if you've already got the Medicom, at least going off pictures of both.

I did finally put this on order, always planned to... but with no exclusive I didn't feel a huge rush to get it ordered.

True, both the Medi and the NECA aliens have to a large extent satisfied my "need" for a posable, accurate figure.

Still, I'm sure this one will be available cheaper later on and then I'm probably going to get it as well.

Hey CP, I think BBTS had the Medi alien on sale, might be worth a look!

I think i'm gonna go and try to get the medicom Alien now....I can live with the scale issue.
i wish i could live with the scale issue... and the paint issue... and the posability issue.
but i've had a couple chances to get it for under $100 and couldn't bring myself to do it.
at this point i'm about to call it quits on the 1:6 Alien shtick and leave it at Kane and Dallas.

Or mine I guess. Or anyone else who would definitely be buying this if it was more accurate.

More for those who don't care and those that have come to terms with it's inaccuracy.

well, it'll be more for those who can wait and get it at a discount down the line.
it's not like anybody is bucking the system by bending over and taking the inaccuracy with a smile.

As far as pose-ability goes, if the HT alien has seamless hips, it probably will have as little articulation as the Medicom figure.
Although there were pics or scans from a magazine that seemed to show the regular HT hip articulation...

One thing I like about the Medicom figure is the material of the suit, it's not "sticky" like the HT A3 alien and stays mostly lint-free.
