Got this fella last week. Aside from the button smiley issue I think I wantto go on record by saying that this along with Wolverine and the Godfather are the most AMAZING 1/6 figures I've ever seen. You won't believe your eyes when you see the paint work, The skin is unreal. actually its not it's too real! he has freckles on his back even. Wow.

All i need is smileys to freakin love this thing until then its a big flop.

I've read elsewhere that the handguns were a tad fragile; are they difficult to work/pose with in your opinion?

The guns can get stuck in the holsters and therefore come out with the barrel still stuck inside. Tis easy to pop it back on again though.

No problems with the handguns.

His grenade launcher broke though, i was putting it i his hands and the hand cupping the underside slipped and broke the clasp where the shoulder strap connects. It was pretty hard to krazy glue back in place.

My girlfriend got me the comedian for valentines and I have to say it's one of the coolest HT figures I own. The paint is incredible and he looks awesome suited up with all of his weapons. I painted the smileys on the button and both the guns, took no more than 10 minutes and now he's perfect. Makes me really hope HT pulls through with Rorschach.

What sorta marker did u use?

Glad you're happy with your figure, but your post is contradictory. I'd say its far from a big flop.

Smiley faces is a make or break thing. it is THE make or break thing (unless of course you're dealing with a crappy sculpt or paint but of course you are not... this is Hot Toys afteral) It would be gold with the smileys... a total failure without!

I already have decal paper and I found a hi-res watchmen smiley online. So we'll see how easy it is to fix the smiley problem.

But I'd agree that the figure is pretty great - a perfect representation of the character.

It is very disappointing that we aren't getting any more characters though.

I have decal paper too but doubt it will work due to the concave shape.

Really gutted we'll get no more Watchmen either Just Ror I would have been happy

I'm still convinced Ror is coming. We saw that WIP Proto in the HT interview pics. It certainly wan't the DCD one. And plus Ror is THE character everyone was expecting/wanting first so making him is a no brainer. Plus he'll do better than the two we already got.

Argh! Why did I come back to this site?! I only have one question before I order this, the articulation looks a little limited, is it possible to pose him resting the shottie or launcher on his shoulder? So that the cigar can be in the other hand? I looked back a few pages and havent seen any pix this way...

So I'll post some pics tomorrow along with My Leoon custom and VT Haritigan and everything else I've been promising I'll post all over the many threads Ive been involved in in this board

I probably was the leader of the no-smiley _____fest but now that I've solved the problem I am a HAPPY camper

I ended up using my waterslide decals. The damn thing worked like a dream The first time this has ever happened to me while using waterslide decals. I am now a fan.

So to my suspicion, yah there is a little bunching going on from the concave shape but i can live with it. scratch that I'm HAPPY with the result. the little defects are no more noticeable than the subtle flaking and non-solid transfers on the ones BV posted. We are going to have to accept these can not be perfect.

the ones on the gun turned out and look PERFECT!

DON' T and remove the button from the armor as the paint chips easily. I touched it up so the color is blended but there is still a little chip making it not a perfect circle but its half a mm... still bothers me though as Im OCD.

there is hope and now Comedian is one of my all time faves. Still no excuse for HT to cheap out on us though
