I had someone direct me to another site and I called the store and they confirmed they had it. So I think I'm good but if I had waited another month I bet I probably wouldn't have found one.

Probably from breaking them down to sell the bodies. It seems to be the most popular body for customs these days. HT should sell those things carded, they'd make a mint.

I got mine from Echo Base Toys this weekend and I think all the positive things I have heard about this figure didn't quite prepare me for how impressive it turned out. It is so lifelike it is creepy.
I'm sure this has been addressed but I wasn't sure how many pages of comments I'd have to sift through, but has anyone made decals for the missing smiley faces?

DAMN!
I took my Comedian out of the box, where he has been since i moved, and it's leaking oil!!!
The upper back part of the suite is full of it.
One part has even melt a bit and took the form of the hard plastic of the of the harness.
I need to clean it but i dont know how to remove the harness to get acces to the suit and body.
HELP!

It makes it sad when Hot Toys rubber material is just pure junk, plain and simple. No my intention is not to bash but what else can you call it when you see your expensive collectible breaking down and your heart more or less sinks to your stomach with panic. Yet at the same time there's not a damn thing you can do about it.

It reminds me when I saw the DX02 kevlar plate all blistered in oil. I hate seeing expensive things go to waste under no fault of your own because Hot Toys is creating cheap junk material.

I remember nam or was it someone else saying before..., isn't it sad when he had old cheap rubber figures that still last to this day... yet your $1xx+ collectible figure starts breaking down after a year.

:lecture:lecture:lecture I have a rubber King Kong from the 70's and a Sideshow 12" Creature from the Black Lagoon. Neither show any signs of this ____ and both were a fraction of the cost of the DX.

Man, it took me a long time to pull the trigger on this one and just when i start the young HS project and will soon have the Comedian has i always liked it, i get this oil ____!!!!

I google it and seems like the problem has already hit a few people, it's been a year after the release:

Hello guys,
it seems like the problem is starting to hit there and there (i personnaly encountered a dozen so far).
So what do you think we should do?
If you got the COMEDIAN it's just a matter of time that the suit gets oily and melt.
We gotta act.

I don't think you'll be getting replacement parts from Hot Toys, IF they even recognize the problem. It's far too late for Comedian. Best bet is to see if there's a loose suit on ebay, or offload him if it's something you can't live with.

I like the fig (and i'm pretty sure i can get a replacement from my seller).
I'm not giving up that easy.
And you shouldnt too.

I bought a Bat DX recently and even if his release date is way more older than the Comedian they replaced it. The Comedian fig is one year old, the problem is just starting to show. No rease to not adress the issue.

Also Rubber suits are gonna be in a lot of the future hit figs.
Do we want to keep having these isssues again again popping years after?

As i said i could just be done with it and return it either get a refund or another one but i don't think it's a good idea to be a passive customer.
And i also think about my fellow freaks who dont have the same possibilities as mine.

Only way HT will ever really address it is through public embarrassment, which led to them finally acknowledging issues with the DX, or if customers vote with their dollars by boycotting rubber suits, returning damaged suits for refunds, etc. Latter won't happen though. For every handful of customers, there's a legion of sackmonkeys who find absolutely no fault with their products.
