Only way HT will ever really address it is through public embarrassment, which led to them finally acknowledging issues with the DX, or if customers vote with their dollars by boycotting rubber suits, returning damaged suits for refunds, etc. Latter won't happen though. For every handful of customers, there's a legion of sackmonkeys who find absolutely no fault with their products.

Sad but true.
A guy on facebook posted that he replaced the suit by a shirt and a pant and he seemed quite proud about it...

It seems to be a chemical reaction.
I tought it could be because of the plastic tray the fig is stocked in but fellows who have been exposing it since their buy are having the issue.

I've seen really good custom star wars or historic armors here.
If we were to look for a replacement piece sculpted by someone here who should i ask?

Does Hot Toys apply the oil to the figures or is it kind of a chemical reaction?

They do use an oil to get the rubber suits on, but this residue comes as a result of the rubber suit not curing long enough and breaking down.

Shoot, I just got mine last week. Does anyone know if this is inevitable for every one or if climate or altitude have any effect on it.

Wait till Batman 89 hits, I'll guarantee everyone will have acted like it never happened. Far too many have short memories.

I'm not pre-ordering rubber figures again because of it.

That'll be my only worry. Of course, we can expect people to deny, deny, deny, talk ____ to you and I about our negative attitude, or douchily tell everybody whose figure is leaking "hey, my figure doesn't leak so stop whining about your $200 decomposing figure and be happy for me!" And then a month down the road deal with the incessant whining about how their figure's just now started leaking despite us pointing out the residue in teh ____ty iPhone pics they posted. Wash, rinse, repeat.

See? I would start a thread. It's as serious as the DX02 and the mods allowed that to go. That way those who don't have issues, or the fanboys who ignore it, can keep posting here while we can gauge how bad the problem really is in it's own thread. Worst case scenario, the mods would just merge it back here anyway.

Yes, it sucks, but HT already made clear, that tbey will not replace the suits. Keep the discussion here, where it belongs to. If you want to make a statement, send an email with clear pics to Hot Toys. If everybody would do it, they might realise that their product needs to be improved (at least for future products). Btw this would be our best chance to get a replacement too.

If i knew how to do it (like you seem to) i would have just go and done it.

A new thread, in order to make everyone know about the issue and make sure that they do send emails with their pic. Not everybody is reading this Thread.
The figure is past news. This oil leak is today news.
I think that a massive customers action could be more powerful than a few isolated mail to which HT will send the same BS answer.

HT also said at first that they would not replace the BAT DX suits...
Of course this answer was to the isolated mails but when, it got on websites, blogs and such their answer was different.

And lets not start to jump at each other throats.
I'm trying to help each other.
Like i said i have solutions if i want to get it right for myself.
And it doesnt stop you to do something on your own.

How about raising awareness among other fellow board members? Make more people aware that the issue is now bigger than just the DX instead of letting them believe there're just a bunch of problem-ignoring, pole squatting, Hot Toys fanboys posting their glee about a figure in the Comedian thread. And if you'd bothered to read a just a few posts prior to yours, you would've seen that given how long ago Comedian was produced, HT is unable to offer replacements.
