I wish I were wrong though as I was expecting something much better

It's actually consistent with the opening of the movie (the silver bars at the end of the opening credits that turns into the truck grille) and the look of the T2: Ultimate Edition DVD from some years back.

Yeah I know but I wish they'd used the original movie poster which is much more iconic imo.

Hopefully they'll tease the T-1000 soon now that this is out.

I think the graphic designers at Hot Toys are flippen brilliant. The boxes are excellent I think.

This T2 box is a little too 'less is more' for my tastes but I betcha it will have a metallic and spot varnishes and will look great in person.

I do hope that this means we will all start getting our shippng notices real soon.

oh, i didn't meant box design, I was talking about this

I have a feeling that using any actual stills from the movie would push the price up on the figure

I'm cool with just using shots of the figure, that's what the T:S packaging basically was, but those were some really cool and interesting graphics, this desing just feels so uninspired.

However,

I get more excited opening up a collectible if the box is cool. Having said that, if the box sucks and figure is great, I'll still buy it

This box just aids in the rush to get the AWESOME figure out
