Yeah, we that are around 30 all grew up with this movie. I remember the first time I saw The Abyss, really liked the effect in that one. And then this milestone was released, back then it couldn't get better then this (T1 Is still the better movie though).

This figure is almost perfect on every way except the not so articulate arms and the long legs, too dame long.

Great sculpt, great paint job, heavy and solid build body, pleather that actually feels like leather, insane cutting/tailoring, I'd say 10 times better than Blade II and make Marcus's jacket a joke. The Endo arm ... I dont even want to try,too dame hard.

:drool Just amazing.... I really dig the weathered edges of the jacket. Makes it look the way it should.

I'm almost starting to wonder why a 1/6th collector would NOT buy this? Looks perfect.

In general, it's amazing the level of weathering HT's getting on clothing now, touches you used to have to customize are now coming out of the factory with really nice quality. The weathering on the Salvation figures and DX Joker's coat came out great.

Thanks be to (insert deity here)! I badly needed this to start appearing now.

Its going to be one hell of a joy unsheathing that box to reveal the figure inside.

The bad first: Like Dutch the neck looks a bit wierd but I suspect this may just be a matter of futzing, perhaps adjusting the jacket to go up higher. I also still think the face is too short between the eyes and the mouth. The individual features are dead-on but taken on the whole I think the face is too short. Nothing to be done about that though and it doesn't ruin the figure. Its still clearly Arnie.

The good: The eyes are fantastic, as is the realistic looking skin. Great surprise about the black t shirt - that now really covers this figure for everything up to the Cyberdyne scenes. And those who have the SS figure will also have a few extras like the broken pool cue, knife and cigar stub! Also the body looks really poseable. I love those naked shots; at least from the man-boobs up you could actually get some realistic nude photos from the beginning of the film - I'd like to see Maulfan try that!

Nice figure all right just not a big fan of the second film.
Will get this 2nd hand for a reasonable price still after the original terminator

I only own masked or none human figures until now, so i cant really compare. But this must be one of the best looking human figures out there?

Without character/movie byass, I would say it's on par with all of HT's humans since the Terminator Salvation line. Since last summer, they've really stepped up the quality of paint apps and detailing on costuming from previous years.

I really like the Salvation humans (Only own the T-600 Concept), but I must say that this looks much better then both Bale and Sam.

Well, I think favoritism for characters will play a factor, but really, based purely on technical execution, this figure's on par with the others of the past year, HT's really just hit a mark with their 1/6 figures and thankfully, keep hitting it with all their releases.

You are partially right, I didn't liked Bales John Connor, but I really liked Worthington's Marcus. I don't know, its something with the Marcus sculpt that's not quite right, can't put my finger on it. Still, I don't have it in hand so i will never be able to do a fair comparison with the T-800...

edit: Over and out, time to hit the sack...

On thing I'd give this T-800 over Marcus, but it's not a quality difference, is the T-800 has more emotion to his face. John Connor and Marcus Wright are emotionally flat sculpts, the T-800 is sculpted and painted quite intense looking which makes a bit more interesting figure. Being expressive is nice, but in a way that's not limiting to the versatility of the figure. Intense is a good emotion for a T-800 figure so it works.

There was a bit more emotion in the Wolverine sculpt as well. I really dig seeing something a little different over the dead pan looking sculpts we've become so accustomed to.
