The movie was average, but I would buy a T-850 and T-X from it.

Talk to duh haaaaaaand.

When you say T-X, you do mean the Endoskeleton, right?

One thing that always bothered me about the flesh is the facial expressions.
When the skin comes off, shouldn't there at least be cables or something underneath to pull on the skin?
Example: look at the lips in the pic you posted above. How is he able to do that?

Babelfish translation of that passage:

ironclad temporarily

:lol

That's my new term!

but T-1000 or rotten face version T-800 on the time undetermined, according to the HT convention, will pack the latter's opportunity by the DX series to be very big.

Seems to indicate what Maulfan has surmised. A big DX for the latter (T800).

We need Silent Surfer now! Me, as his side kick :lol, will try.....

A) In T-1 Kyle said it was living tissue over metal endo. It's possible there are muscle groups as well, I am not good with muscle group capabilities let alone facial muscles!

B) The least likely theory if mine is some kind of plastic in between the endo and skin that can contract to form expressions. i doubt it but hay it's any idea

C) Another idea is maybe the tissue it's self is capable of forming expression. Some kind of link between the machine and the covering.

I don't know as I said Silent to the rescue...... :borg

And don't think I won't remind you of that if it pans out ;)

I really hope that they visit T1 and we get a BD figure from it. I'd love to see HT's interpretation of this, I'm sure they'd clean it up to be more accurrate, much like T2 BD pieces get cleaned up for how it'd really be rather than 100% immitate the appearance of Winston's makeup work.

Thats a good question!....QUICKLY, TO THE Q & A THREAD!!!!

But yeah how does the exterior flesh mimic real human movement so well (such as the motion of the lips when speaking) and do so even when a lot of flesh is torn off?

Reminds me of a question I once asked about how the flesh doesn't sustain massive bruising due to the metal underneath or even wear off at the points where weight is imposed?

I can't recall how people answered the latter...perhaps the advanced regenerative abilities. But as to how the flesh exterior moves like any normal human - it must be somehow attached to the metal endoskeleton in ways and at key points very similar to the way our muscles etc are attached to our bogstandard skeletons - therefore allowing it to be pulled on and causing it to react like human flesh. Perhaps the added muscle of the model 101 helps to hide the more unnatural shapes of the endo underneath which might otherwise show through. But the face seems more complex. We can move those muscles independantly of our skulls. A simple movement of the endo-jaw wouldn't cause the lips to have a normal motion as when speaking, the movement somehow has to come from the muscle itself...intriguing. How the hell do they get that to work?

I elected a long time ago, Terminator franchise is just riddled with unsolvable problems between the cyborg designs and the time travel, you're better off just enjoying the ride.

I disagree, the mythology adds to it! :borg
