Yeah, I was thinking of stuff like their Star Trek figures that are along the lines of NECA stuff, I don't think of Mini Mates often.

When did Art Asylum make Terminator figures?

Last year around the same time NECA released Wave 1. There's this, (which is obviously a piece of garbage)

but never mind that. They made what they're best at,

Well, guess what?
As huge a T2 fan that I am, I honestly didn't think I was going to buy the Hot Toys T-800. Then I joined the Sideshow Freaks message board, specifically this & the NECA Terminator threads.
After hearing such amazing reviews and looking at fantastic photos of the T-800, I just took the plunge half an hour ago & purchased the T-800 off of eBay. I was casually checking what the current selling and completed prices were for the figure when I noticed a newly listed T-800 for $159.99. I clicked the link fully thinking it was an international seller and that shipping would be around $40.
WRONG!
US seller asking only $12.95 shipping, handling, and insurance. Needless to say, I clicked "Buy It Now" as fast as I could. Of course, the page wouldn't load. Luckily, I refreshed and submitted my order. I just paid for it too. Hopefully, I'll have the figure within the next week. Now I'm part of the club and not just looking at all the pretty pictures.
Thanks guys!

Those Terminator MiniMates actually look cool, maybe i will check my LCS to see if they have any.

I've been convinced to buy the figure asap from reading the thread today. I thought I could wait to pick it up, but it's basically sold out everywhere right now. What seller did you get it from? I'll try to see if he still has some available.

I am thinking about picking up another pair of shades for this figure, pretty sure i did see some on Ebay for $5.99. I have broken glasses on one of my Hot Toys military figures in the past and they are a _____ to glue and fix without making a mess, its good to have a extra pair just in case.

Lense fell out and was a whore to glue back in evenly with out getting glue on the clear part.

He looks better sans le shades anyway.

Sucker. I knew right from the moment the teaser pics were released I just had to have this figure. So I pre-ordered it at BBTS two months ago, and instead of trawling through this thread like a late-to-the-party loser drooling at pictures of them, I'm...

oh, wait a minute (wipes drool from bottom lip) - I am a late-to-the-party loser because BBTS HASN'T SHIPPED THEM YET.:gah:

Yep, this and Aldo Raine, what the hell is going on BBTS??

It's been two weeks, TWO WEEKS! You know how long that is in waiting time??

I just want to see how Arnie's sunglasses look on RDJ head that comes with Iron Man Mark III. Can someone post a snap please.

The last I heard from people and friends they are moving back to them due to this worldwide recession. UK really is f00ked.

I hear and see the same. I'm an electrician and there has alway's been three big electrical firms in my area that I could work for. Two of them with a forty year history. In the last year the two that have been around for about forty years have gone bust and closed doors. That is about 30 electricians in my area looking for work now.

I know most of the people on these firms. A lot of them have and will be loosing their homes and moving back home due to no work to pay rent or mortgage.

So far I have been lucky although the remaining firm I work for can only afford to give us a four day week.

Also people have been laughing at me for years because I pay £100 a month for income protection if I lose my job. They wish they did the same now.

Awesome pics of the HT T-800 next to the CMs! They really show how great the new figure is.

Cinemaquettes T-850 look so lame.
I can´t understand how this piece can cost 1500$ or so and the detail and quality of the clothes may be great, but the likeness and hair applications are way off.
Everyone has a different taste, but how many do like this piece also?

It does look like garbage, The likeness and hair look nothing like the prototype. I feel sorry for anyone who paid $2k for that.
