Ok, had to try this out of curiosity. Custom m79 grenade:

Downsides are that the head is a tad small and the bottom of the cartridge is a little different from the movie, but overall I think it looks quite decent. Might still be little too long overall (16mm), but that's fairly easy to fix.

Though, watching the movie I noticed that the Terminator actually uses different grenades to load his m79, than what he carries in his bandolier? (someone might have mentioned this earlier?)

The ones he loads look like the Dr. Figure ones (far right in my pic), but what he carries around must be more like the one in the middle of my pic.

Are there any bendy fingers that will fit the muscular body? I want hand/gloves that fit the front grip of the coomdodel M134 better

Finished the grenades. As said these are custom made using real (fired) .22 cal cartridges. The scale is quite nice actually, but to look as big as the movie the caliber should be bigger still. So I'm thinking the grenades used in the movie arent actually m79 grenades at all??? Might be custom made??? or special issue??? Dunno...

Crappy pics... (somehow the photo made the second grenade in bandolier look smaller than the others which it isnt? Had to check to be sure).
The plus side is that the grenades are metal and look real. The minus side is that they are actually quite heavy...

Yep, a tad on the small side, but I think it's actually the camera angle making them look smaller than they really are (15-16mm long, 6,5mm diameter).
First thought of this mod years ago. Never dared to try it though?

Yes, I don't have the link handy now but will post it later if someone else hasn't.

Even with HT making figures, we seem to still be left to customs for anything but the basic T2 T-800.

Yes it's kinda sad HT didn't make this release a DX with all the accessories.
But on the other hand, to some extent customising can be fun...

For the Cyberdyne look, I don't mind the customizing, though in theory, HT parts would be more accurrate.

The real sting for me is lack of a BD figure, that is much harder to do yourself.

Well I made the right call in ordering Maulfans grenades when I did. To date I still haven't received the other ones I ordered that may or may not be the right size and last I checked the stock of the ones MF got has depleted down to just 3.
