Great job, it looks perfect. Is that an accurate license plate number? I have the envy.

When I got mine (already assembled) it arrived with some breaks that probably happened when the seller was packaging it up. It has majorly fragile pieces though so it was probably inevitable.

What my seller didn't mention though was that at some point the tires must have been intentionally or accidentally glued to a surface and then ripped off. Luckily this can be hidden up under the wheel shields (or whatever they're called).

Thanks. Yep, that's a movie accurate licence plate and number. Took a screen capture from the movie and edited it in PS. The stickers were blurry, so I had to guess a few things, but it's close enough for me.
I dont actually mind the breakage anymore, it might of even made the dissembly a little easier, but what I do mind is the fact that I think the seller himself drew the price up in the end. Still it wasn't all that expensive. Dunno the value of money back in '96, but I think I read somewhere (might of been the Tamiya website actually), that the kit cost close to 80$ back in the day. Mine was a bit over a 100$, built + all the work I had to do for it. Overall I'm pretty pleased about it...

Where did you get the decals? And was removing the old ones very difficult?
The seller had an extra set... I actually thought the kit initially came with two sets, but I'm not sure?
Dunno how long ago the bike was assembled, but the decals were in real tight. I tried to soak them off, but finally I just had to sand them down.

The kit does come w/ a 2nd set, but they didn't look screen accurate, so I just saved them. Great job w/ the decals though. The piping ones are a major, major pain.

Thank you good sir's.
I kinda hesitated to take on this project, it's been 12 years since my first and last model buid, but this actually turned out to be great fun for me.

The last auction went for $367. I noticed because most of the time he's sold at a BIN price. I think he's the next Blade or Wolvie going for over $400. And he's only been out like a year or so.

Yeah and he went up fast too cuz back in March he stabilized around $250( i kept an eye on him a loong time before I had the cash to get him) and I bought him a few weeks later at $300. Im glad I got him when I did. But its gotta bottom out at sometime....right? I mean HT is hot(no pun intended) now but does anyone think that even their most expensive figure will eventually drop a bit in price. Thats the cycle of things usually. I mean no matter what they'll always have some sort of value because their limited collectors items but at some point things have to slow. What do you guys think?

I need your clothes, your boots and your motorcycle...

The combo of T800 n Fatboy are too cool to resist. Great job. Congrats.:clap

He's been out too long now for a steady price drop. It's not like the price swell for a newly released item, then a stablization- like IM Secret Project or the Mk VI. I mean it's been over a year. No one is getting any new ones. And most new ones sold now are in Asia with $50 shipping. Arnie is way too popular and the figure is awesome too. Matter of time before he crosses into $400 territory- like Wolverine, Blade, the Godfather, Leonidis, Batman, etc.

Also, the bike rocks. To the gentleman from Finland, congrats on grabbing it and you did some nice assembly afterwork. It's a collection centerpiece. When a few were up on ebay people scoffed at the price tag. But when you get it in hand it really is magnificent.

Yeah I see what your saying it'll reach $400 but when does it stop is my question. This thing cant keep going up and up and up? I mean its gotta stop at sometime.

I think it's a way to dodge eBay fees. If you put up a buy it now for over 100 quid eBay take 10% when the item sells! Robbing bastards. But it only applies to the items price, not the total price with shipping! So this way the guy can get $500 for the the T800 and T100, a fair price, and not get raped by evilbay! I'd imagine eBay will get wise at some point and put a stop to it.

Please help, for those who cant afford or even get hold of the Tamiya kit. I have got the Harley Fat boy telephone but it has Grey mudguards and grey tank. I would like it if some good buddy could scan there extra set of fat boy decals so we can all paint our harleys the correct colour ? Without those stickers I wont do anything to it. Please help, Steve UK.
