Hot Toys - MMS 189 - SSC Ex The Avengers: Agent Phil Coulson (Specs and Pics)

Can someone tell.me how his guy was made without the ugly visible neck join like you see on Avengers cap unmasked head, Catwoman, Nick Fury, the Terminator figures....?

What is Hot Toys doing? They mess up otherwise great looking figures with nasty looking neck joint then figures like this and the unmasked DX12 is made with the head and neck as one piece eliminating the ugly looking joint.

Fused neck sculpts work for some characters like Joker or Red skull for example. With many sculpts that are just normal flesh colored faces, the fused necks can look cold and unnatural. Men's adam's apples don't bend to their clavicles. I believe heads with neck posts are utilized for its more lifelike dynamic posing when looking up or down than anything else.

He's shipping it EMS, so I should have it Tue or next week.

Can't wait- now just need Hulk and MK VII to finish The Avengers

The figure is soooo amazing. The gun doesn't light up, right? Is it just a transparent bit of plastic in the middle? It's catching the light really well there.

Edit: Saw the OMG pics. it's obvious it lights up. I had no idea! Very cool.
