No Julie Newmar either. Double bummer. I wonder if the Movie license would be cheaper than the TV?? If that's the case, I would think they would just take the movie only because they can squeeze enough out of it. Not enough for me though.

When Hot Toys made the initial announcement back in 2012 they stated on their website they had been presented with the license for the TV series.

These might sell out quick and be worth something.

If these are produced anything like the Christopher Reeve Superman, than they might end up being less than retail on the secondary market.

Doubtful. This is one of the hardest licenses to secure due to all of the legal entanglements. Get 'em while you can.

Which is exactly why they'll produce a bunch of these, and why they'll likely be available for a while after release.

Not if the Mattel figures are an indication. They are a one-off. When those are gone the secondary prices will skyrocket. The Batmobile has already gone for 3 times retail.

Trust me, the initial (and only) production run will be substantial. Chris Reeve Superman was the number 1 HT want for ages, when they finally produced him they made a bunch. Unless I've missed something, he can still be had for around retail. Hot Toys will make as many of these as they can sell, which will be a lot.

If it's true that HT only produced so many CR Supes sets because they had to flesh out their margins to accommodate the cost/conditions of the license, then the same may not apply to these.
