Couldn't order one without the other. Thankfully I had some rewards points to help get me under $350 for the pair.

I'm very happy to see these up for order but I'm still hoping they slim West down to match the show. Come on Hot Toys, don't fail me now!

i just pre-ordered both from Sideshow tonight. :yess: I just can't see Adam West's Batman without Burt Ward's Robin. In my opinion you can't have one without the other. Yeah, the old TV series was really goofy and cheezy. But I still love it! It was one of the first TV shows I saw as a kid in the 1970s on TV in re-runs. It was fun! :clap

Both of these figures look great! So does the George Barris designed Batmobile! I hope to get all three.

No freakin' way! I do not collect Hot Toys, nor do I collect DC. But the nostalgia of these two pieces is making me reconsider like no other figure ever has.

173% badassery!

Phew! for just a moment, I thought they forgot the bomb. Didn't see a pic. But it is listed in the accesories.

If every thing ships on time, April will be an asspounding unheard of in the history of collecting.

Adam West Batman needz moar beer gut.

No, he doesn't; that's a fallacy, though an understandable one. I, too, was shrouded in my own ignorance until VintijjDroidGuts and DGTWoodward shed the light on my dank cave and dragged me out by my feet. The idea that West was overweight is an urban legend; akin to Bigfoot and the Loch Ness Monster. West was actually quite fit, but the fact that he wore an extremely large belt that went from his waist to his rib cage perpetuated the idea that he was overweight, due to the fact that the only parts visible (the ribs and hips) are among the thicker parts of one's body. Therefore, it gave off the aesthetic appearance that led many to believe they were watching "Fatman," when, in actuality, they weren't. Boom!

True. They may not be buff compared to today's standards, but Adam West was no way fat when he was Batman.

Re: Hot Toys-MMS 218-Batman: Classic TV Series-Batman 1/6th Scale Collectible Figure

FYI the mark VII PO price was $185 last year.
No way the pre order price was $185. The cheapest was maybe $224.

Re: Hot Toys-MMS 218-Batman(1966)-Batman 1/6th Scale Collectible Figure

Well you're probably out then. No way these will be under $200. Maybe at the least $230 for Batman and possibly $215 for Robin. That's low end though, they'll probably be more than that.

No Batman is $215 and Robin is about $190.

I'm a bit shocked at the sideshow price. This is a great move by hot toys to bring prices back a bit. Its like finding out I'm getting a tax refund for a change. I hope this is the start of a downward trend. Now ....where is the batmobile? It goes without typing its a must have now.

Well yeah, but that post was also made before the figures actually went up for order..:lol Plus let's be honest it's not outside of the norm to think that Hot Toys figures are going to be expensive.

Amiami has those great prices as well. Why is Sideshow more expensive all of a sudden?

Well Amiami looks to be a Japanese site. Shipping is what is probably going to very expensive. So I wouldn't count on those cheap prices. Unless you live in Japan.
