Hot toys said there having license issues with the car being made . I know there was a making of video on Batman begins about the creators of the car . There's probably a question as to who will receive what in terms of money being made .

I got my Batman back in December, took him out of the box for a quick inspection and back into the box he went. I just took him out to display him in my detolf last night and noticed that the logo has a small "nick" of missing paint. The rest of the figure is pristine. Would this bother anyone else? I really don't want to return it since the rest of it is in great shape. Anyone think I can just go over it with a sharpie? I'm thinking of just living with it.

Wow. I imagine sideshow have to deal with people returning figures over minor crap like this. Smh.

I just want the 66 Batmobile. I could give a damn if any Villians are made, Tweeterhead is in charge of that dept as far as I'm concerned

I doubt this is dead. Many figures from many lines have not sold out including Iron Man. Many companies just overproduced last year. According to Alter Ego, many manufacturers will be scaling back production and the retailers will be scaling back orders. So by default, any niche line will suffer in a market that is over saturated with product.

While I don't think we will see them go deep into this line, I think the Batmobile will be made and maybe a figure or two.

They won't go all Star Wars/Marvel all the time. They will interject several lines into the mix, ie Predator, Terminator, other Disney properties and this.

The issue is that Mattel has the rights to the rolling wheels on the Batmobile. When that license is up, don't know when, we should see something.

In other words- ITS NOT coming out
The line is finished- they have more Marvel stuff to do...

Source???

Last I saw, Hot Toys was having issues with production, not licensing.

And while there is a ton of Marvel stuff to do, Hot Toys won't just abandon all their other properties. We've seen them skimp out on Marvel lines, ie no Malakief, no Dark Elves, no Ronan, no Yondu and they might as well had announced a boycott on any Marvel property not related to Marvel Studios.

My sister in law is on a team at Mattel.

I believe that it applies to all scales. I will ask her. Getting information is like pulling teeth, they are held to secrecy on certain things.

They could always pull something like Enterbay did with the magnetic faceplates. "The faces are attached with magnets...but under NO circumstances should you remove them and switch them." Just ship it with the wheel locks in place and tell people they shouldn't remove them. *wink* *wink*

If its true about the rolling wheels, if the licence doesn't end or its renewed by mattel then i guess this will never be released. Seems like they built and showed off the prototype without knowing about the rolling wheels issue

If the Batmobile is finally announced and officially released . These figures will sell out in a weeks time for sure .
It's actually depressing having the greatest Batman and Robin figures ever made and no Batmobile to sit them in.

When they were negotiating the license, Mattel said "it's cool if other companies make Batmobile toys, but they can't have rolling wheels. Rolling wheels are our jam."
