Sorry Bud, Just trying to spread the word in the form of subliminal messages in order to insure that my brothers here at the forum get "Quality" stuff for their $$$.
However, You're right if they read it here...no need to paste it elsewhere. Incidentally, I'm starting to read from other forums some uproars about the stock Robin, and i'll quote what a gentlemen wrote at another forum........." I made my opinions known to Hot Toys. Hopefully others did as well. They did slip up on this. Even if they were some slight errors Hot Toys, in my opinion, is accountable as they charge enough for their final work. This was definitely not the time nor the figures (if ever) to start playing around with the product. I'd hate to think they were going the way of Hollywood and the comic book companies - we'll do whatever we want to the material and YOU WILL LIKE IT!"
I hate to be the bearer of bad news, but this is one case where "if you don't like it, don't buy it" is particularly applicable. 6 months ago, Hot Toys may have cared what you had to say, but, as far as this release is concerned, you're out of luck. Fixing the issues that you might have with it would mean a potential recall of thousands of already manufactured products, and, for a business, that would never even be a blip of a thought. As far as this release goes, the "we'll do whatever we want to the material and YOU WILL LIKE IT!" quote is pretty much accurate, except I'd replace "LIKE IT!" with "DEAL WITH IT!"
At this point, though, they don't care about opinions. They've probably got anywhere from 3,000 to 5,000 units produced, sealed up, and packed in their cardboard shippers, and that's the final word. Your best bet, if this isn't good enough is the custom route, because, as much as I love this license, I think that, at most, we'll be lucky if we see the villains, but I doubt this will be one of the situations where HT releases a Robin 2.0, unless these things sell like swine flu vaccinations on a hog farm.
