Another early one! Not sure I will be keeping my PO just yet. Been a release heavy few weeks here and this is one I'd been kind of on the fence about keeping anyway. In hand pics would really help here so hopefully we can get a few before he ships.

It's a fox license not disney

Disney owns merchandising rights. There's little to no X-Men movie merch anymore since they go those rights back. Probably the reason that HT don't exploit X-Men is that Disney probably won't let them. Disney have been strategically holding back X-Men sine they took over Marvel, no new cartoon, less comic merchandise, less X-Men on annuals, pencil cases ect... They're even trying to have the Inhumans take their place in the comics.

I would think merchandising rights were locked into the original movie deals prior to Disney buying Marvel. Where did you read that Disney got the rights back?

Uncanny is right, he just got fuzzy on a couple details. Dis and Fox are co holders for the X-Men and FF cinema stuff and Disney is going to strangle the **** out of them.

Sony, otoh, gave all their merchandising rights back to Dis and Dis gave them basically carte blanc Spidey license and moved their cut of film profits to nearly nothing. So Sony gets to keep their film money, I'm 99% sure, they still get all distribution, and they get Disney to pump product and pay for comericals out the yin yang. They may not get an upfront profit on these toys, but to have Disney footing the bill for free pubicity and having them out of your purse has to feel pretty good.

man this is shipping early :thud: might have to cancel and reorder with my reward points...on another note...I bet this head will look spectacular on the with the Origins clothing

That is exactly what I am doing with mine! I dont have a Wolverine figure in my collection and want the Origins / casual Wolverine look. I ordered some pants and a copy jacket for this fig and Im banking on it working out. Im really hoping it works. This fig is really going to make my collection pop! So far I have CR Superman, HT Darth Vader, HT Jedi Master Yoda, Kitbashed Obi-Wan, HT Hulk, HT Thor, HT Iron Man MKIII (my fav IM), HT Spiderman, and HT Captain America. Cap is hands down my favorite figure.

I also have a kit bashed HT fig in a pinstripe suit with my MK III Tony Stark head that looks great when next to the armor. I have another HT body standing by waiting for the suit from this Wolverine fig so I can make Agent Phil Coulson. I have already ordered a Coulson head sculpt for him and a stand so just waiting on everything to be in hand now. Getting two great characters out of one figure with this purchase so Im stoked!

We need pics already!

But HT's and Disney are so tight their ****s are touching... so why wouldn't HT's be doing this stuff? especially when Disney has the rights

edit. a mod should ad D*cks to the language filter, i dont want an infraction :lol

I want to get the film on Blu-ray but I'm holding out on the 3D version going on sale. Not that I really care about having the 3D version of the film but that version has an Extended Cut of the film which I'd like to have. Especially since I've heard there's quite a few things that are changed. I'm still way excited for this figure too. I recently re-ordered it using the $20 off coupon Sideshow was offering in January and decided to flex pay him in two payments. I'm kind of wanting to just go for it all at once but I like being able to break up payments a bit so it's not so expensive at one time (especially considering I had three other flex payments this month as is).

I have the 3d version, pretty cool. Still need to watch the extended cut.

or just go to your local Target store :wink1: $10 there too along with the MoS Bluray and some others

I was told that Target had the regular DVD for $10, but not the Blu Ray? We've been watching and that movie hasn't gone on sale at all, anywhere. Was happy to finally grab it on Amazon for ten bucks.

Figure looks good.. Really good actually. Definitely better looking that the headsculpt of the Last Stand Wolverine. And I already have the one from origins which I feel looks really good as well, so I think I will just stick to that one.

Me too. 4-disc 3D for $23. Not too bad price from amazon.

I watched extended version last night and I liked it overall. I had been waffling about it, but I will keep this PO. Really want one Wolverine movie fig before I quit the hobby.
