The mustache/beard is maybe a bit better on this but I think overall the Hot Toys sculpt looks better. The hair on it looks weird to me and I don't really care for the expression he has. Maybe it's just his expression but the Jackman likeness looks off to me too.

I prefer the HT sculpt too, I love the feck off attitude of the expression. If you could combine the Wolfman body and the HT sculpt with the muttonchops painted like they are on the Wolfman sculpt, you'd have one badass Wolvie.

See I don't even like the body that much better though. It has better proportions yes, but the way it's painted it looks kind of cartoony to me. It doesn't look right to me, but maybe it's just the picture.

That head sculpt looks way better, too bad the hair sucks. The body also looks to be specifically sculpted for Hugh.

I was 100% on board with this figure but between omg's first picures and the latest images hitting the net, I am now reconsidering the purchase. The ht head looks worse and worse with each new image that I come across. When the head is angled down a bit it looks OK but titled up, to the side or straight on the heavy mustache is distracting. Its ****ing disappointing because I really want to like this figure, but that stash ****s it all up. Is it worth paying $200 for a figure when the sculpt only looks good from 1 angle lol. Going to wait for more in hand video reviews before deciding. Such a shame!! Counting on the days of future past version now. Maybe the 4th time will be the charm.

I'm at this point going back and forth with Wolverine again. the new Harley Quinn just came out and I received the Joker in yesterday. Not sure I may actually cancel this and put the money towards that. I wanted to definitely make a review for you guys on this figure but I'm still on the edge a bit and Sideshow has been hitting the ball park lately. If I don't get this figure at the moment I do apologize and hope one of you does a review to clear things up for everyone. Damn this decision making is sucking.

I just saw the latest pics in the Harley thread, I think she's the better of the two without a doubt. Her and Joker together on the same shelf would really pop.

Just ordered Harley instead. Wanted to get this to review for you all but I know I wouldn't be totally happy in the end of the day. So maybe down the road I'll get Wolverine but guessing he'll look better in person. Post pics and reviews guys.

Well...I just finished watching the "unrated" Wolverine....love the flick, but the one thing that kept nagging at me through the movie was...."he's got no mustache...why does the Hot Toys figures have a mustache?" ....

I'm keeping my order. Yes...everyone's right...the mustache was an odd move on HT here...don't know why they went for it instead of fixing it in production.
Having said that, I like the look of the figure overall....the tailoring looks sharp in all of the pics currently in here, the paint apps look good (even the "shouldn't be there" 'stache is well-painted).

I keep coming back to the last few HT figures I've gotten and how the panic was palpable in here about them based on the early pics....Jor-El looked almost candy-coated and Kal-El looked soft....but once I had them in front of me, well....Jor-El is one of my favorite figures right now. The sculpt is fantastic and the paint looks just fine. Same with MOS Superman. Sharp featured and clean looking sculpt, really well done. I also picked up the Mandarin...and THAT figure is awesome, period. Excellent sculpt, paint apps and tailoring...a total bulls-eye. HT can do it completely right....just not all the time like everyone expects, it seems.

This will be my first Jackman/Wolverine figure. I've seen the comparison shots in OMG's thread (of the other Wolverine figures) and in here and honestly, NONE of them really hit the mark.
But this version looks the best to me...I like the movie, I like the look he's sporting here and the whole package looks really good. The box art is really cool too. Love how it fits with everything from the disc art, the score cover and the movie poster....makes it feel like it's part of a cool package of memorabilia for the flick.

Is the figure perfect? No...and I certainly understand that a lot of folks feel pretty passionate about this character and have high exceptions for the figure, especially considering it's Hot Toys. I'm not going to jump on the "It sucks!" bandwagon until I see it for myself....until then, I hope even more images keep turning up and more reactions (on both sides) keep pouring in to HT....

LOL saw it on Fb but was afraid to post the photo here as I was among the last people to post on the now closed Wolfman thread, I fear I might get a warning for it. Anyway, yeah, I look forward to seeing another photo of this guy under better lighting but so far IMO it looks more like Jackman but the hair still needs some refining. And the body looks good, and the attention to detail particularly on Jackma's weird-looking vein on his right bicep is a nice touch.
