1/6 Hot Toys-MMS 236-TDK Armory (with Batman, Alfred, and Bruce Wayne Figures)

This looks like a great set - too bad they didn't do a new Wayne sculpt from the Dark Knight, although the new paint job is pretty good. Alfred looks great, his coat looks a bit weird in some shots though. And I thought I was done with this line...I was actually hoping on a new begins suit, Ra's and Dent. 2014 is gonna be another pricey HT year

He looks to have a little more of a smirk this time around, much like the QS001. I think the eyes are slightly deeper as well which looks better. On occasional glances though, I do see glimpses of the DX12 one..

Damn I'm so happy I held off on all the Wayne & Alfred custom stuff and the Toys Legend armory. I've been itching for all of this but none of the customs really did it for me and I was holding off on the armory for HT's inevitable offering. We knew the armory was coming but Wayne & Alfred (a FANTASTIC Alfred at that) are a huge surprise. The new face plates are a great addition too. Too bad they didn't upgrade the cowl sculpt to have squinter eyes

Thats pretty close to my estimates. Other than total over reaction, I wasn't understanding the $800-1000 predictions.

I didn't see any UK or HK prices but I'm just comparing apples to apples. The pace of the hobby has gotten insane. They don't even wait a year before inflation is evident; and the current prices of comparable sets are: Chitauri 2-pack at $475, Banner at $190, Banner/Hulk at $510. Even SS is inflating vastly over their most recent releases. The Hoth Luke is up to HT prices and the Tauntaun is $350.

Based on all of that it's hard to think that the deluxe Armory trio will be $700. You have 3 full figures, an environment and a slew of accessories. I'll MORE than welcome it at $700 (hell even cheaper if possible) but it just doesn't seem realistic. Even if it does come in on the low side of the assumptions, it'll be like $50+ in shipping

They have a picture with batman posing and included a cape. No reason to have PERS on a rubber suit that can't move.

It's the DX12 with new faceplates.

Another reason why I doubt this includes the DX12 is wouldn't they plaster something like that all over the advertising? Instead all we get is Batman Collectible Figure

The batsuit that is in the armory also doubles at the batman figure. You can either pose it w/o hands and the empty cowl, or take it out of the armory and pose it as Batman with the second PERS headsculpt, faceplates and hands/boots.

Or are you suggesting that the batsuit and cowl sculpts are new which is why they aren't metioning "you get a fully articulated dX12"??

An articulated figure that has a head sculpt, and hands is not equal to the DX12 in what way then? Sorry, I just assumed based on what we see that the only difference you're alluding to would be the lack of articulation.

I hate to whine about missing pieces in a set this comprehensive, but I'd be completely stoked if only this included:

a) a sonar head and
b) the back pack from the HK extraction scene

(I missed out on the DX02 )

You very well could be correct. And I agree that 3 full figures and an environment should logically be @ $700-800. I just took all the emotion and guessing out of it when I discovered the 12% SSC mark up. Of course logic doesn't typically work here. I would guess that it a big savings by getting the set would be packaging. While 3 figures seprately may be @$200 each, the need for one box and packaging will cost less than 4 seperate boxes.

Well, technically, you're not getting a DX12. You're just getting the exact figure plus improved face plates and better paint apps on the Bruce Wayne head. But, it's missing the DX12 base, so I'm sure the old figure will still resell for a million dollars or so.

So did I. I would've loved to get those as well, a redesigned sonar head is what this set needs. Although it would've raised the (still unannounced, high as hell) price.

I'm suggesting that surely if this was coming with a DX12 (minus the accessories) it would be labeled as such would it not? I dunno but when it comes to getting this in hand somewhere I suspect we'll see this isn't quite at the same level as the DX12

I guess we mean "DX12" as in the most recent 1/6 batman figure. I don't think anyone here truly believes they're getting the entire DX package with the armory, etc.
