Its like 50 bucks difference. Jesus Christ who gives a ****.
That kind of mentality gets us here. Add 50... another 50.... another 50. The original BR Joker was going for $150.
if people knew how much we paid for ANY of these figures they would think the same about all of us . I never mention the price of my figures to my friends/family.
WB doesn't care how many toys HT sells, because to them Superman is the holy grail. Recently, this little kid died and the family wanted to build a statue of him wearing the Superman logo on his chest, and WB immediately said no, it's SUPERMAN...can't do that!! That's how much Superman means to them. Also, another reason Superman is not selling, is Batman V Superman. We'll see a better one next year, so that's has something to do with the sales.

What's your point? They would just as vigorously defend the Batman trademark. Btw, WB/DC caved to public pressure on that case and granted an exception so that the kid's family could have that statue. Superman may be the "official" flagship character for DC, but Batman, is without a doubt, their number one money maker for them. It's not even close. In fact, Batman is the most profitable solo superhero of all time. The only superhero franchise to beat Batman in profitability is a team, not solo (Avengers), and the only solo character franchise to beat Batman is James Bond (but he's also got about 4x more movies). Star Wars also beats Batman, but that's neither superhero or solo.
I agree with your point about Batman, but it seems like you're just focusing on the movies. If you look at toys and all media (cartoons and videogames included), then Spidey is number 2 with a bullet behind Batman. Spidey has probably actually sold more toys. Avengers wouldn't even be in the running, despite the obvious strong focus there by Marvel over the last few years. What's your point? They would just as vigorously defend the Batman trademark. It kind of goes like this: Hot toys purchases license from DC for batman/nolan license for 10 years, in those 10 years they could do whatever they want to, release as many times as they want to, hence why you see 2.0 thrown in there. Most of the time is a scam anyways, Hot toys is like any other regular toy company, they will sell you one fig with only hands, but the accessories will come in another fig with PERS for a couple of hundred dollars more. This only hurts completionists who want to get every variation of the line, I only chatted to a couple of people in HK who collect EVERY HT figures that come out, just because it's HT, doesn't matter what figure it is. That's too extreme, but heck if I had that money I would do the same thing, but I would build a mansion just to display them all. There's collectors who even buy one figure for opening, one for posing, one for reselling and one for potential future resell. I just buy two of each, because I know my twins will get ahold of one when they grew up and destroy it, and I will have the other one as back up lol
Hot Toys produces some high quality figures but they also produce some horrible ones, especially the older figures. So u would really want to have every Hot Toys figure if u were rich, even the version one clown Joker?
nobody sells the 1.0?
nobody sells the 1.0?
I'd definitely spend it on *****es.
Just wait until the 2.0 is released. A lot of collectors will be upgrading and getting rid of their outdated Version 1. Plus you will probably get it a lower price if you wait a bit.
I doubt it, I think the only way u will get a lower price than what sideshow is selling it for is if u bid for it on ebay or know someone in Hong Kong that can get it for u for $215.
My point was that WB cares as much about Superman as they do for Batman. I don't believe the Superman license is significantly cheaper than Batman, yet the HT superman cost less than the Joker. That was the point. It's not necessarily the license that's making certain figures more expensive. It could be a factor, but we don't know that for a fact. I didn't know WB gave the family the ok for the statue, good for the family

I'm just thinking out loud here. So there aren't stores in Hong Kong that will sell to someone in America for the Hong Kong price?
