Does his family see any of the extra money they seem to charge for Ledger Joker items? 'Cause if that was the reason I could live with that.

I don't know how these contracts and deals are structured, but I'm sure the person getting royalties on this (and any other merch related to him) is whoever "owns" his likeness rights; be that his family, the film studio, whatever.

There have been several times where I felt HT was up-charging just because they could based on demand and popularity of certain characters. This kind of feels like one of those times. I know some said that this set is built similarly to the DX11, but I think it's not apples to apples and you got a little more with the DX11... for $10 less

I know, I know... those are prices from 2 years ago but I have a whole other theory about that mentality. As far as I'm concerned, prices should have plateaued at most a year ago. HT stopped drastically improving around 2 years ago and I'm sure at this of the game, they are producing more efficiently than ever before, and their edition sizes are higher than before. But that's a whole other convo

Yeah, it's completely awesome, in a different league entirely from this figure. I hope you get it one day, I'd say its a contender for best HT figure ever.

Some will call it crazy but I'm cool with it at $250. I could even throw some points at it, but for what? To save another $10, $20, $50? I'm hoarding my points to drop them on something heavy

I think you need the DX11 since, the eyes on the stock joker figure are looking sideways, it's like they want you to splurge on an extra head/dx11 if need be.

It's a weird thing but I recently bought an extra Dx11 head and comparing it with my boxed version, the paint jobs are subtly but strikingly different, principally on one the lips are much more smudged than on the other and the white paint is greyer. Still an amazing sculpt though, much subtler than the BR extra head.

Wow, I'm suprised too hear that. I would never call the DX 11 subtle.
It looks like a cartoon-look at the eyes the elongated mouth that looks not human.
It looks like a cross between the animated series/Nicholson batman and ledger - once again less ledger than anything.
The BRJ is the bad boy off the group that only looks like ledger and don't even gete started on the dx 11 fluffy bathrobe.
I had and sold it cod it looked awful
Alongside my batman collection, it's just awful

I prefer the BRJ 2.0, the DX11 head sculpt went back in the box.

Gotta buy a Tony Mei cape for the armory Batman.

So happy with my bank robber joker, I think this maybe the end of my Nolan batman set.
Watched the dark knight today and the opening scene ( the imax preview) is absolutely perfectly nailed on this & you can see that's what they were goin for.
Not trying to big up hot toys on this but they may have made there best figure yet

You either want a BR Joker or you don't, and all I want personally is the purple coat Joker, but everyone who's bought it seems to love it.

Well said...the BR Joker 2.0 is a really good figure .i actually like the BR sculpt better than the DX11 ( heresy....?)

Yesterday decided to change pose on my bank robber joker and found out that i got a defect with broken ankle joint and was hidden by jokers sock that was only thing holding the foot on. I called sideshow yesterday and emailed pic's of broken ankle and BAM! Today Sideshow email's back my replacement is being shipped. THE REASON I ALWAY'S BUY FROM Sideshow GREAT Customer service. Alway's Fast n friendly to deal with ,very thankfull 4 a Great Company. I can not think of a better company that take's care of it's customer's this nice that always giving away prizes and discount's. I have never seen SONY or other big *** company's take care of the consumer's and give as much as sideshow does. Thank you Sideshow stay Awesome!
