I think stock is fine, and it's much better than the one that came with DX09. That one was too puffy, but can be futzed to look nice.

Yeah I think everyone knows that but the wires always seem to return to their original position, they aren't stiff wires. I was actually thinking about removing the wires from one of my capes to see if it hangs better without them

The wires in his cape don't seem to bounce back like previous wired capes, the shoulder "spindles" are actually pretty good and when bent can be used to position and futz the cape from the shoulders down. It's very different than the dx09. The way dean knight has done it above bent back around the shoulders.

Yeah for sum odd reason when I got my tony cape came its still too poofy even with ironing it and all but whatevs... I did some futzing with My DX09 and cape and think it came out very nice...

I had the dx 09 but sold it, it just didn't sit well with me.
Not sure why, I prefer the clean lines & smoothness off the returns version. That and I was just a tiny bit too young to see batman at the cinema.
But I did see batman returns - immediate favourite film as a kid

The thing that sucks is, the smooth, streamlined look of the Batman Returns suit would make for a cool 1/4 quarter scale. The sharp details of the armor would be perfect in that format and I bet Hot Toys would be capable of a killer Bruce Wayne Keaton sculpt (like their Bale Wayne and RDJ Stark).


Too bad it never came to be, I know a lot of people were anticipating it after Hot Toys announced the Returns 1/4 line.

I prefer the 1/6th scale. But j would of definitely bought a 1/4 batman returns. I had the qs001 but sold it too, the enterbay batman begins killed it for me and the qs001 couldn't compare.
Should get my display case soon so I can finally display my batmobile with a returns batman.

As great as this release is (Batman, at least) a 1/4 version would be a dream. They could even go all out and include a glider, with a switch out upper body, like Hulk.

They are charging close to $600 for their newer 1/4 IM, so why not?

Did you have trouble with the back folds poofing out... I got my left one just right but the right one still poofs for some odd reason.

Well after carefully looking at the BR figure with Tonys cape.I got a very helpful tip.And that is turn batmans spikes on his gauntlet inwards because if you have it pointing straight out to the back it will cause a bit of that puffy look on tonys cape.I just now turned the spikes inwards and it helped.

I can't really slag you for that as I've bought multiples of T-800s and T-1000s even for just alternate poses but to my eyes the mouth plates provided with this figure really don't offer enough of a difference. That was actually my number one disappointment...until I received mine with an arm break

At most I'd go 2 Batmans with this - one normal figure with closed mouth and one figure with the torn cowl and Wayne head from the full set. With 3 figures I think at that point I'd put one in the Batmobile.

Like I said before, if Hot Toys had offered an angry, no-nonsense face and a sadistic smile face for this Returns Batman, I would have bought multiples.

If they put just a little more work into the articulation and suit design and included that impressive wing glider I would have bought a ton of this one for different scenes. I'm sure a lot of other collectors would too. Sure, sales and production wise they saved money on making it as basic as possible, but if they just pushed the envelope a tiny little bit so this wasn't merely a "DX 09 2.0", I'd have splurged. The mouths should have honestly been a given after how much effort they put into Robocop.
