I feel that they fix the articulation by having the ratched(kaiyodo) joints system he can pose better and more than anything hold his poses, the 89 batman was a nightmare trying to do anything but the returns bats is where it's at.

Same here man, 89 Batmobile got me into HT, The 66 car strung me along but never happened and now I end with the returns. I sold off much of my 1/6 and collect some statues now. But I'm contemplating an end game soon.

To be honest I’m looking forward to getting out of the HOT TOYS game after this figure.

I love the preorder damage report thread or that other similar one that was started recently - seeing all those massive lists of figures people are getting and thinking ''thank **** that's not me''

Having said that I've sorta re-intensified my NECA purchasing in place of Hot Toys, but still nothing like the kind of money others are spending.

I'm close to done, but to keep things under control I jettisoned my entire 6" collection. Except for the NECA Turtles, because the wife loves them.

There are a couple things I want from Mezco's ONE:12 line, but that's negligible, maybe a handful. Hot Toys ANH messed with the wallet but I'm immune to the majority of their other offerings.

If that '66 Batmobile ever magically happened, I wouldn't think twice, of course. But I appear to be safe from that scenario.

Sideshow just informed me that the Batman set is expected to start shipping out starting March 1st--I finally have a date to look forward to!!! Of course, I would love it if they received it sooner so I could have it this month but I'll take it

I picked this up from my LCS today and I have instant buyers remorse. I can't stand the cape, it's too poofy & doesn't drape at all.

Wow, I have the DX09 and this one is better to me in many ways, I did get the custom Tony cape for the 89 but I can live with the returns cape lol

I wish I was strong enough to quit HT and toys all together but I am not strong willed and do not know how I can stop. I got both 293 and 294 waiting like a little kid for 1966 batmobile and maybe other figures and then hopefully maybe one day see them do the 1995 me 1997 batmans and robin [emoji23]

Yeah, I do A-Dev...2 of them, actually. At least w/ that cape, with the wires on the bottom, you can make some tight folds and get to drape...or at least give the appearance of draping. There are some tricks I could do to try to get it to look better, but I just don't have the inclination to mess with it. I should have known better after all these years, HT just can't make a good Batman cape to save their lives, they never have and they never will. Even the AA cape was a poofy POC.

Me, too. I think the '66 Batmobile is probably a lost cause at this point, though. I'm filling the void with the Armored and regular Batmen from Batman v. Superman, though...

Well you cant pose him with his legs farther than about an inch apart. It didnt matter how I posed them the suit repositioned them back. That in return made his stance awkward and he would topple over while futzing the cape. In my opinion the cape is horrid. I will say the overall look of the sculpt and suit is really nice. Its just the cape and articulation that make this a fail in my eyes.

Crappy phone pic shows the stock cape doesn't really drape the way I would like it to so I'm going Plan B....extra DX09 cape. At least I can work with it to mimic a half way decent drape. The stock cape just kinda lays out there. The material is kinda like those cheap gloves your grammie gives you for xmas. I actually wish this one was wired on the bottom. It would've helped some IMHO. There's no way to create the folds in the cape to keep it more under control.

Stock BR cape goes on Keaton-face Bats shoved behind DX09 Batman & Joker display...since he's kinda not-so-great himself. BR Bats will be a standalone somewhere else.

Oh well, I'll live with it.

i have tonys cape and in this pic its the stock cape.And honestly its not all that bad compared to the dx09.just takes time.you can manipulate the pointed ends and tuck parts of the wired cape under and bend the wire towards the bottom.
