All these people bashing the HS and watch it will come out revised and better and people will complain since it'll be on WL. Prices will be much higher.

When was the last time Hot Toys actually revised a headsculpt between official announcement photos and release, and how often does it it honestly happen? One figure release per year? Excluding the ones who are blurred out in the announcement like Star Lord?

Il prob but the two pack, il get it direct from Hong Kong, and sell off the stuff I don't want- nameably that ass head scuplt. Fuzzy tux and half the Accesories and il probably have a free batman-forget sideshow reward points

When was the last time Hot Toys actually revised a headsculpt between official announcement photos and release, and how often does it it honestly happen? One figure release per year? Excluding the ones who are blurred out in the announcement like Star Lord?

The only two that I recall (because I was interested in) was Jack Sparrow and Elder Predator 2.0.

So yeah, like one per year? Yet every time a new figure is announced people talk like tweaks to the head are bound to happen before release.

I personally would not place my bets, or an order, under the assumption that this abomination of a sculpt is magically going to be great come release.

im on the same boat, Im not crazy about this fig set but the price point almost convinced me. But I think Im going to try going direct thru HK, waiting months after other people have them is driving me nutz

I'm pretty sure that Sideshowtoys will sell it in the same week that it appears in HK.

What gets me is that they say ''guys, it's just a prototype'' like as though A) changes are guaranteed and B) like we wouldn't or even shouldn't post our reactions to what HT chooses to show us. Because total silence is conducive to great discussion and to let HT know that they need to go back to work on it

It looks like the pose from the Secret Base pics is about as dynamic as it gets.

So it's pretty much on par with the actual suit that Keaton wore?

I agree with this. Even though they don't change the sculpts often before release, if people didn't voice their complaints based on the prototype shown then they would NEVER change the sculpts. They would just assume everybody was fine with what was shown. This Keaton headsculpt is bad, prototype or not, and Hot Toys needs to know that a lot of fans don't like it. This doesn't guarantee that they will change anything, but if we all keep quiet it would pretty much guarantee that they wouldn't change anything.

I feel it is what it is, true, we aren't going to get dynamic poses out of this one but he looks just as cool merely standing there with his arms by his sides as anything else so I don't mind so much.

But, however restrictive the real suit would have been Keaton was at least able to hold his arms up - the figure will have trouble doing that if the DX09 version is anything to go by. I found in reality that figure just wasn't really capable of the poses that even the prototype had - you'd raise the arms only for the rubber to overpower the joints and they'd just go back down again.

With "no plans" to do Catwoman and Penguin some three years after claiming this license was "coming soon", a quarter-assed attempt at a headsculpt (not even half-assed), and no glider cape - I honestly have to wonder why they bothered to do anything with this license at all if the final and only product to come from it is merely a slightly different version of the '89 Batman figure.

I'm not sure--I think "We don't have plans on Penguin and Catwoman yet" could just as easily mean that they intend to do them but they're still delayed for now. Glass half full interpretation, I guess.
