Kinda new to this forum, but the amount of off-topic chatter is killing all these topics! When I don't visit for a day or so, yes I try to have a life besides collecting, I have to read through ten or more pages of memes and other non related stuff. Now it's about House.....good for my English though, reading all those pages.

Yeah sorry about that, that's how friendly and outgoing it is here at the marvel threads, everyone kinda just kicks back and talks story with one another until new info about the figure is released.

In my opinion much better than other forums :lol

I agree. Some other forums are so uptight about chatter that it makes it no fun unless you have something very specific and informational to say. It's very laid-back here, by comparison, and it's both refreshing and enjoyable. Yes, it sometimes makes it tough to get right to the real "news" but it's a worthwhile trade-off, in my opinion.

Think of those other forums as the business conference in a nice location, and this place as the bona fide vacation with a little bit of business thrown in. Now, grab a fruity drink, kick back, and enjoy yourself! :blissy

:goodpost: There's a ton of other sites that offer a news only format, so why not just bookmark and visit those when that's your fancy and visit this one if you're feeling more social. :huh

haha, I don't mind, was just an observation. Not used to it on other forums. Those memes, gifs and comments crack me up sometimes, so it's all good.

Honestly, we've all gone away for a day or two and come back to realize that something sparked something and 10 pages have gone by...I'd recommend either skimming them quickly, or just jumping ahead to the end. If the last page sounds interesting then backtrack and see what you missed...if it's in the middle of a dead-zone like this, where nothing was announced and everyone is just shooting the sh#t, well, odds are you can skip said 10 pages and go about with your night!

Personally, most of the time I like the banter...I'd find it incredibly boring to go to a thread or forum where everyone only talked about the piece on repeat. All threads die soon enough (a week or so -- if that -- after the piece is announced until it's released) so may as well enjoy them while they're hot!

Well said! And I agree. These threads absolutely blow up when something is announced! Its crazy but fun. And all this in between time killer is very enjoyable :)
