I hate New 52 Harley's look so much. Bruce Timm's original design is way more iconic. I'm sure they could've pulled off the look but the DCCU is heavily based off the New 52 and TDKR so that's kinda unfortunate. I always thought Bruce Timm had a FANTASTIC understanding of the DC Universe but oh well.

When he left the DC animation department, I was hoping that'd mean he (and Paul Dini) was getting moved to oversee the DCCU. But alas, DC really loves their New 52 reboot (for better or worse).

As exciting as this Hot Topic or beach ball Harley Quinn.

I thought that too! But yeah it's whatever I guess. It's too late now. What I like about the MCU is that they're basically taking the LOOK of the Ultimate universe but taking characteristics and story lines mainly from the 616 verse. I wouldn't be able to stand seeing everyone being an absolute **** if they solely based the movies off the Ultimate U. The only Ultimate incarnation that I thought worked was for Spider-Man until they did the Clone Saga and Ultimatum.

That's why I try to stick to me "one figure per character" rule...if a figure nails it, then that's who I'll get to represent that character. It'd take big changes, or a huge improvement to make me double dip...which I haven't done yet, but I wouldn't say it'll ever be out of the question!

thats the rule i'm trying to abide. and staying only the MCU line.
but of course this rule dont apply on ironman. :lol

Interestingly enough, I started reading Ultimate Spidey when the Clone Saga started (and dropped it a bit later). And I want to forget ever reading Ultimatum. The Ultimate universe as a whole was an interesting modern take on the Marvel universe (and inspired the current 616), but the tone just never felt right for me. The fact that the Winter Soldier storyline made it to the big screen makes me pretty happy (Civil War... less so, but I trust the Russos to make it good).

Omfg Ultimatum....I couldn't stop reading it cause it just got more and more ridiculous and wanted to see how far it would go but god damn that was abysmally written. The Clone Saga was kinda interesting but I hated what they did to Doc Ock. I'm completely fine with the Ultimate Universe as its own thing though which is why I'm kinda worried about the aftermath of Secret Wars. Though Secret Wars is fan ****ing tastic right now.

I am even more restrictive. I get 1 figure per movie and only if the movie makes it into my personal top 10 list. The figure I get is my favorite character in that movie. Right now I own 4 hot toys If they made figures from my other favorite movies I would get more. I REALLY wanted AOU to be one of my favorite movies but while I liked it I didn't think it was great... at all.

With that being said I think scarlet witch looks great. I think hot toys did a really good job with her jewelry and the sets of hand they offer look nice and give a decent amount of options.

I jump around to quite a few lines, which definitely makes it harder! DCU is going to make it even worse, I'm sure, but there's also a bit more wait and see there! Batman/Superman/Wonder Woman are guarantees...after that, we'll see how the characters play out.

As for Iron Man, that's the worst character to break the rule with! :lol I pre-ordered the Mk. XLIII because I really liked the suit, and it will work perfectly as my representation of Iron Man...Iron Legion drone and all! That said, I do have Mechanic Tony as well, who was originally going to be my lone representation; however, XLIII just nailed all aspects of storytelling, and I love Stark enough as a character to simply have a Tony figure with his own representation!

Plus, Mechanic Tony is superb and anyone who doesn't have him should buy him for how well he's permanently discounted!

yeah ikr. but actually i started with iron man 1st. then only i came out with those rule. i mean they are all suits, and tony could get lonely. :lol
anyhow i might have cheated a bit (how could i pass out the chance of owning a time machine) :slap:lol

I can't believe the amount the bashing this figure has been receiving regarding the headsculpt. Though I'm not buying this, the headsculpt is way better than I expected it would be. It may lack some emotion but all I see is the bashing of it's likeness. Likeness? For me this could easily be in HT's top 10 character likenesses. The way they capture Elizabeth Olsen's likeness is just superb! For what I have seen on FB many people are comparing the headsculpt to the movie's character poster which is photoshopped and does not look like that in the movie.

The head sculpt likeness is ok.
just the shoulders need to be wider
and the thighs more muscular.
