Yeah, the hood looks like it sits pretty loose on his head. Although in that scene, he appears to be swiveling his entire body/upper torso to turn and isn't just moving his head in a particular direction.

I just modded it to give the hood more movement, not necessarily to show he can turn his head with the hood, give the extreme pose more life

BBTS seems like a solid deal with their cheap shipping. Forbidden Planet NYC has it for retail but with free shipping, so that's slightly better.

I'm planning on a couple of poses:

Let's get back to just talking about how awesome this guy is.

I snapped this photo last night, trying to replicate the famous laser bolt pose but it looks more like he's saying, "Have you ever just looked at the back of your hand...I mean really looked at it."

Yup it is a great figure to pose and shoot pics

Unfortunately you can get somewhat close to these poses but the hands can't pose like that. One thing this figured needed was more open handed hands

Angle his focus sideways, turn his arm outward and put the force hand at a 45 degree angle. Then, turn the lightsaber arm outward and bring it slightly upward, bending the elbow for good measure. You may have to consult the official image for the hood and cloak.

One last thing. Spread his legs. Lol. He's gonna need a natural looking stance for how quickly he turns to react to that shot. I knew before getting this figure that I wasn't even gonna attempt that pose. I simply married it with the initial lightsaber reveal pose. Hard to get it looking right though, since the torso sucks ass.

Shared it precisely because the photo came out funny. :slap

This one's even better though. I got the TIE Pilot the same day, or maybe the next day. And had both bags of hands out and thought I was using the Ren hand, instead he has a tiny TIE Pilot hand.

Followed Wor-Gar's lead✅
Waited for coupon✅
Ordered with coupon✅

Wor Gar is a coupon master.

:lol

Coupons do help when living in California. Still over priced shipping... but balances out with the excellent customer service.

Anyway -- ORDERED REN!

With any luck, he will ship tonight and be in my hands tomorrow!

That's a... how you say, a BINGO!

Great pose. Now let's see those legs! :lol

Taught me the ways of the pre-order and then cancel to order with coupon. That was before the dark times though...before the time of the NRD.

Great pose. Now let's see those legs! :lol

That's from last week. Not sure what his legs are doing these days but at least he has the correct hands on.

Yeah, I know what you mean.

Like this popular image for instance. He doesn't appear to be turning with his body at all, just his head and his hood appears to be turning with his head. I don't think this would be able to be achieved without snipping the hood.

However, like in the first screen grab I posted, his head appears to be slightly turning inside of the hood to look in a particular direction without the the hood moving with his head too much, if at all, as it appears to be straight and covering most of the right side of his mask in the direction that he's looking.

So I guess it all comes down to what pose you're trying to acheive with the figure. If you want a full on head turn like in the first image, it would probably be better to snip the hood. If you're going to slightly have it turned just to have it look like he's looking to any particular side, it doesn't look like snipping the hood would be necessary.

I am so happy I snipped. Now he can turn is head 70 degrees and the hood can be adjusted accordingly. Otherwise one side of the mask would
Be covered by hoodie. I am no modder but the hoodie should have never been sewn down
