I like how the light strip underneath Kylo and the trooper is the same red orange color as what his lightsaber is. Really adds to the whole "dark side" motif.

Side note: Has anyone found a video or anything of people cutting Kylo's scarf & hood threads? I'm wondering if I cut the threads on the shoulder if I can make it drape correctly more over the right shoulder than it does the left without making the hood lopsided.

Maybe I'll buy an extra hood/scarf just to try to mess with it lol

PSA: Don't snip the threads to the hood lol

Mine was looking good for a bit when I wanted to re-position it and the entire scarf unraveled ... I see now why most only snip the threads holding it to the actual tunic.

So bummed lol. Hoping I can find another scarf/hood somewhere..

Also thinking of just picking up a second Kylo and turning this one into a Starkiller base battle Kylo with the Adam sculpt later lol

Ask Toy Anxiety if they will part another Kylo. TFA stuff has sat around a lot so it's possible they might have one more sitting around. They will even occasionally part out quite old (3-4 year old) figs.

In the meantime, I tried to sew the other one back together. It'll do for now until I can replace it.. At least it looks okay if I mess his robes up a bit to look like he's being hit by wind or something lol.

Sorry that happened Neb! Although from your pictures it actually looks alright there. In person it could be a different story though and may be hard to futz. I snipped the threads in between the hood and scarf. Is that where you cut it? Mine still looks untouched, except now I can position the scarf how I want it much better.

It looks about the same in person. I might just keep it like this, but I'll just have to be careful posing it to not break the threads I put in.
And yeah, I snipped the ones between the hood and the scarf (both sides), and all four connecting the scarf to the tunic. It was fine for about a day haha.

Since the hood and scarf basically become two pieces at that point, I wonder if mine just didn't have enough holding it together. The back of the scarf broke when I was posing and it pretty much lost it's shape. I was too vigorous with my action figures </3 lol

Are you referring to the third thread in the back of the hood as the one not to snip? I snipped the two threads on the outer sides of my hood and everything still stays perfectly in place. Personally, those are the only two I think that require snipping, as it still gives the the hood a bit more mobility to turn to either side with his head and also you're able to shape the hood to make it look like it has more of a natural drape to it, as opposed to it looking like a perfect arc.

The main two I was thinking are the ones that attach the actual hood part to the rest of the scarf. I snipped it since some people said it helps with posing (separates the longer part of cape&hood from scarf), but it just made mine completely unstable and came completely apart about a day later.

I've had some success sewing it back together, and I actually kinda like how it looks now even if it's not 100% screen accurate lol. Looks more like the concept art, but it's cool.

We know Kylo is a Sith after all, despite J.J.'s throw-you-off-the-scent comments.

Some TFA card game released last week confirmed Rey is the Jedi, Kylo the Sith and Finn is just Finn.

J.J. seems to be trolling us quite a bit with misinformation. Its Star Trek Into Darkness all over again.
