I really hope JJ brings back the scarf hoody and helmet for Episode IX. Agreed with everybody saying he looks more like a badass villain that way.

I would buy TFA Kylo and then purchase parted out bits of TLJ Kylo.
That's what I was going to do when they released TLJ version. I was going to put the Adam Driver head from TLJ on my TFA figure.

Yea I love the layered outfit from TFA. He looks so menacing when he first lands on Jakku in TFA. I think I’m going to grab this one, and then either TLJ or IX, depending on his look, later down the line.

Has anyone made a good lightsaber for this character that is super bright? I know some customs were made for other characters using some kind of florescent tubes.
I don't think you would be able to without losing the unstable look of the blade, and maybe not have the side blades light up the same way. I think all of the other characters just use the 1/6 cold cathodes because they all have really standard sabers. I'm not sure how hard Kylo's would be to do though
After months of debate, I decided to pass on this and just wait for the TLJ version but I did pick up some parts from TA to put one together on the cheap. I got the boots and a couple of hands and they have this weird tanish/brown wash to them. Is it like this on the original figure or did something just happen with these parts?

How much did piecing him together run? I remember seeing him sell a couple times for around $125 and was almost tempted to pick up a second one.

Broke down and got this Kylo with the $35 New Year's coupon plus a GC I got for Christmas. I debated between this version and TLJ version, but there's something off about the new figure that I just don't like, so I went with this one. Maybe in the future I'll end up getting the LJ version or even episode 9 version.
Looking forward to getting him but dreading replacing the arm! I know a lot of people ended up breaking the zipper on the sleeve trying to replace the arm!

Don't try using the tiny ring and just slowly slide the actual zip and it should be fine.

Yes, I was going to say he same. I had the issue, and it was actually also at the end of the zip. i.e I think the actual zip must have went further than it should have. Meaning the zip wasn't on the track any more. I received mine like this and got a replacement luckily. So I guess also go slow with the zipping itself, especially at the end.
My arm with battery is on for life now I think ;-).

Yeah, I remember reading all the nightmare stories about swapping out the arm! Too bad it doesn't come with an unlit blade option because that's how I'll be keeping him--with the lights off. I'm not even going to bother putting the batteries in!

Awesome pics guys! I went for the Kylo standing in the rain from the flashback look lol. Mostly because I can't get the hood to sit right on mine haha, but I've grown to really like the way the helmet looks with the hood down.
