Kylo is indeed a great figure! I've had mine for quite a while and have accumulated three unmasked sculpts for him. On the fence about picking up the new one, although he should be easier to pose without all the robes.

I took this over the weekend. I've been wanting to do a take on this photo, but I never had the concept (just the right chair). But I was cleaning up the shelves and I looked at Kylo and the Creg Customs Vader helmet and stand and realized they'd be the perfect stand-in for the speaker in the original - and it made actual sense!

He was my first HT, and I'm up to 10 now.... Even though I really, really, reallyyyyy like my Bespin Luke, Rey(s), and Boba.. and they're technically more "complex" figures than Kylo, I think Kylo is my favorite. he just has an awesome presence on the shelf to me. And while his costume is simple, there's so much detail in the fabric, it's awesome.

I don't know why, but I really like the hood/scarf piece and I wish they sold them separate from the robe on TA and stuff lol. I have two at the moment. Well, mostly because I broke the first one while trying to customize it BUT SMALL DETAILS - I've been playing around with the messed up one on other 1/6 stuff I have and now I want more.

If anyone absolutely hates the scarf/hood on theirs and displays them without it - I'll buy it lol.

Really would have been nice if Kylo came with a few accessories.

- Melted Vader mask on the pillar from film
- “Ash Tray” pillar that Kylo rests his helmet in
- Adam Driver head sculpt
- Maybe even Kylo’s restraining device that we see Poe and Rey strapped into when he does his mind reading. (Long shot on that one)

Just a shame because I feel like Hot Toys missed a few opportunities here.

This emerged so many times. This version of Kylo was delievered before TFA was out in the cinema, no action figure was released with an unmasked sculpt before the movie (probably a -correct imho- marketing choice). First unmasked sculpt was Disney elite series released on december 18th 2015.

Creg Customs here on the board offered the stand and helmet. Both a very nice pieces. His Kylo sculpts are also fantastic. Sure it's all after market stuff, but it makes the figure all the better. I can't see Hot Toys including that stuff without the price being astronomical.

I wonder if, because Kylo has been revealed and he’s obviously allowed his likeness for Hot Toys Collectibles, we will get another Kylo Ren from The Force Awakens. However this time with an unscarred portrait and additional accessories.

That piece was 1:4 scale. Not 1:6. But it does appear to have dropped off the radars.
