There are times when I am abuzz with excitement on the idea of a custom. Just the idea of it. Even if my interpretation is far from perfect.
But when two people in a row take the time to post negative comments I’ll jist give up posting the figure, lol.
If it were even constructive criticism(“if I were you I’d”, or “you know what would be cool?”), i’d understand it.
Maybe it just looks cooler in person than my images show. I’ll keep it to myself from now on, lol.

I think this looks pretty cool! It's kind of inline with the idea of Captain Phasma where a commander uses modified armor from the rank and file. Id like to see this version with a white cape to match, or even go reverse, and paint the armor black to match the original Kylo helmet.

The only criticsm I could have would be that the white paint on the helmet looks a bit matte or flat next to the glossy FO armor.

Very cool idea, thanks for posting!

You didn’t state your opinion. Not really. You hit and ran. You offered a candybar and produced nothing but the wrapper. You trolled. (Though it sounds like that was not your intent).

He literally said "I didn't like it", which is his opinion. If you think that's trolling you're being a bit of a white knight lol.
In my opinion, painting the sculpt just to see what it looks like on another figure is a waste. Seeing as he previously put his Anakin sculpt on the Kylo body, I'm assuming that's probably his only mask sculpt. So yeah, in my opinion that's a waste of a headsculpt and if he decides he doesn't dig it, his Kylo figure is screwed unless he wants to buy another HS. If someone doesn't like something and they express their opinion on it, it's not trolling.

If people can't handle criticism and dislike of their customs, then maybe they shouldn't post them. I also don't see how people think a user saying "I don't like it" is insulting or an indication of them taking offense rofl.

I'm pretty sure neither I nor sithocan are offended by the figure. Thinking something doesn't look good does not mean you find it offensive lol.

Username, if you like your customs then keep at it and keep posting them. I'm sure some people will dig it, but others are totally allowed to dislike it.

Agree 100% with this sentiment.

Please allow me to illustrate.

Here is an example of a "critique" of your post which I have quoted:

That's the problem: there was no criticism. "I don't like it" is not a critique. Tell us why you don't like it. Try to articulate with some skill beyond a 3rd grade level. If you can't do that, kindly **** the **** off. :wave

Here is an example of a troll "hit and run":

Your opinion is stupid.

I was happy to help you see the difference.

Your first example in my opinion comes off more trollish and "offensive" in nature than someone simply stating "I didn't/don't like it." Granted it could use some elaboration, but there's nothing about it that's meant to be offensive nor insulting.

Claiming you want to have a discussion and then following that up with a personal insult, is meant to be offensive and consequently, comes off as more trollish. Like I've mentioned before in another thread, people seem to always claim to want to have discourse, but they do it in the most offensive way possible by first lobbing some sort of personal insult at the other person. Which to me, is disingenuous.

For the guy that thinks it’s a waste. I have five more. I don’t actually own a Kylo Ren figure. I just threw one together from some parts I had. Just a costume set I picked up from TA for about $50.
I have probably got about $5000 worth of spare headsculpt just for customs. So one of them painted white isn’t much of a loss. I think it looks cool though, lol.

"I didn't like it" is an opinion. Somebody likes this opinion or not is also somebody's opinion which I respect.
Personally, I'm not kind of a person who do sophisticated criticics of a meal that I don't like, but I envy those who can do that.

Dude, both of those examples are more douchey than sithocan saying he didn't like it.

First off, why would explaining why we don't like something be better? If anything, I'm sure some of you folks would think it's worse.
Assuming we are about spreading honest opinions, and not sugar coating things to make someone on the internet feel better, which of the following do you think is nicer?

A. "I don't like it"

B. "I don't like it. The paint job is shoddy, the matte doesn't match the armor, and beyond that it just looks stupid as a whole."

I'm pretty sure that most would prefer the former. BTW, someone saying they don't like something isn't "skill of a third grade level". If anything, that first example you pointed out is someone getting bent out of shape and throwing personal insults because another user didn't like someone's action figure lmao. And for the second one, "Your opinion is stupid" is very different than "I don't like that custom".

If an individual can't take people on the internet not liking their art project without getting offended and deleting everything, that's on them. You went off on sithocan for literally just saying he doesn't like something, called him a troll, etc... you then went off on me for calling you out, and tried to insult my intelligence. lol

So, while I appreciate the time you took to try to "teach me" something, perhaps you should get off your high horse. Let people have opinions rather than attempting to make personal attacks on others for saying they don't like a toy. :) Anyway, not wasting any more time on this. Feel free to do so if you'd like.

Lol.
Sorry about the delay. It's on my bench at work.

Thanks again, looks badass. Makes a cool alternate reality version of Vader if he didn't get chopped up and barbequed. I've been working on my own version of a Mythos Vader trying to make the perfect outfit for him.

Really hoping they make the KOR figures if they're prominent enough in IX. Though, I imagine they would only do a couple of them if they did anyway. =/ Would be sickkkk to have all 6 though
