Seems a bit surprising they are jumping on all of these throw away characters. So many trooper figs, but only 1 main character (kylo)? Bazaar approach. How many people are going to buy generic white troopers, but they have like 6 versions of them? I dont get it.

Very, VERY surprised they didnt come out of the gate to have Kylo, Rey, Finn and maybe Phasma ready for the launch of the movie. But it's mostly generic troopers.

I think if they had released the main characters we would end up knowing what happens in the movie before it is released. I can see the figures being released just after the 17th of December.

Well you know theyre going to double and triple dip these. They could have easily had Rey with her staff, maybe alternate head with her mask that she wears.... Finn with his blaster and sweet leather jacket. This way we have a couple of the heroes. Right now its all bad characters. Just seems like not a great Force Awakens launch for them with the movie. Heck, we dont even know if any of this will be out by the time the movie is released.

I agree, but if there are editions of the main cast, I'd prefer they aren't throwaways and actually have value to them with accessories and sculpts.

I saw a schedule in another thread. The only TFA figs out before the end of the year are stormtrooper and heavy gunner. Kylo is February and more troopers in March. But yeah, not much to be excited about around the movie launch other than preorder announcements.

I got the Hasbro 6" Black Series Kylo and Ducktrooper, and *********, the designs are actually growing on me...
I'm starting to consider pre-ordering Kylo and the Ducktrooper.

with 50 days until opening, i don't think it is "bizarre" are all for Hot Toys to be bringing this to a slow boil... i am thrilled with their offering so far and cannot wait to see which "throw away character" is next (the Stormtrooper design of the OT is one of the most icon of our time... who knows what any one of these new designs may accomplish).

Mind blowing how the discussion a month ago was everyone saying how they are making too many figures so people can't afford to complete their collection.

And now people are demanding more.

I already pre ordered my Kylo Ren, Snowtrooper officer and Stormtrooper Squad leader. I figured buying the Officer and Squad leader would be more justified than spending the money on a normal stormy! I already forked money out on my Kylo Ren Disney LE 700 so he's going to look great displayed next to each other. The only other ones I would consider would be BB-8 with out a thought and Phasma but I need to see her role in the movie first. Damn sideshow is going to break my wallet!! All I can say is if Kylo really is Luke? I'm going to love this figure even more

I think their strategy is to hammer us with the troopers while everyone is salivating for the movie to come out and then once we've ordered all of the troops, they'll hit with the pre-orders for the heroes right as the movie comes out. If they would've reversed the logic, many of us would likely have been maxed out and less likely to buy a variety of the troopers. Whereas now, we're suckers for them and will find a way to buy the heroes. It's a pretty reasonable business model for them, IMO...

Their last names will be included always...after the movie is released. No other humans in the entire trilogy have only one name...I guess I should say OT or PT.

Nothing to stop HT previewing and taking preorders without the last name. We never see the packaging till it ships anyway.

Lol very true. I think the characters they haven't revealed yet won't be so barebones. Maybe Kylo will even a few more things too like a reveal head or even Finn's hand.

Somehow I don't think Finn is getting out of that forest encounter unscathed.

HT unveiling Rudd's sculpt this late in the game for their Ant-Man figure gives me hope we'll get a Driver sculpt with this figure after all.

They put Ant-Man up for PO six months ago so I can see them unveiling Driver's sculpt in February/March.
