I know it was posted in here that there is a delay at least from ABC express but some Asian collectors already have both in hand. I doubt they'd released anything if there were things to change.....something isn't adding up.

shhhhhhh!!!! im trying not to think about it. i actually cancelled just about everything else on order to get this stuff. it's worth it. to me anyway. i decided id rather have this batman stuff than SS's indy stuff, ANH luke, ANH han, aayla secura, PF aragorn, Pf anakin, and HT kane and dallas. i cancelled all of those. it was hard but you gotta have priorities i guess.

So I either get TDK Batman + Pod and cancel my old school Batman, or cancel Pod and keep old school Batman.

I'd agree...except for Indy, Kane and Dallas...I gotta have those, which is keeping me from having 2 Batmen.

it was hard letting them go but technically by letting them go im letting the whole line go which will save me tons in the future. i kept gandalf and snake eyes though. cant give those guys up. still got CW obi too.

no. you can keep the original costume batman and the batpod but you can never ever ever let original costume batman ride on it. worlds would collide. there would be chaos. anarchy. cats and dogs would start living together and no one wants that.

Here's my rational: I like Joker = bought him. I like the old Batman suit = bought it. I like the BatPod = bought it. There was no logic beyond what I liked.

However, after seeing the film tonight, there is a certain logic to the pieces now...and it doesn't fit my choices.

Who knows, maybe I'll cave and get the TDK suit down the road since it's delayed a bit anyway (smart on HT's part to do that).

But the Joker would like that. Besides, Batman had to practice on the BatPod at some point, in his original suit. My display could be from the "unseen footage".

Well doesn't it depend on whether you want the figures/vehicles in order to recreate exactly scenes from the film, or whether you want them in order to have what you consider the ideal representation of these characters and their world?

If you want to recreate scenes exactly, then I guess you need the new suit, but otherwise I say go for the look you like best and film continuity be damned (or I guess you could always try and convince yourself that he tested the pod off-screen before he got the new suit.) For the record, I have the original suit and Joker on order.

I really don't care about the continuity issues one bit. It's not as big a deal as I had expected it to be. Maybe I was distracted by the Joker, but I could barely tell when he switched from one suit to the other. The primary issue is that the old Batman suit figure doesn't have the proper gripping hands for driving the Batpod. I'm not sure if the reverse is true (whether the new suit needs a different kind of hands to be used in the tumbler).

I have Old suit, Joker and Tumbler and I just placed an order with Joe for TDK suit which he wore to drive the Tumbler before it tumbled so I am covered.

Takara now really has got a real match!

Actually I can say that the Hot Toys looks more movie acurate.
The details are the same, the body of the Hot Toys is now really superiour!

But still there is one thing that keeps me from declaring the Hot Toys as the best: the headsculpt, I don't know yet what to think about it.
The takara still looks better in the head area, but that would be the only point. Still, I am in doubt to say wich has an overal movie-accurate presence...they both have in some way.

Like said, Takara has superiour head sculpt, inferiour body sculpt. But details are great!
Hot toys has the superiour body sculpt and also great deals, but the head sculpt makes me doubt...

i did a quick touch up on whats a bit off. the neck was shortened on bats and i couldnt help but put the correct hairstyle on joker. hopefully we will get a sculpt of that joker hair as it should be
