Defiantly my favorite Batman figure so far. I'm glad that I bought the original costume instead of TDK costume, but I will be getting the DX TDK Batman next year. That one looks like to be the ultimate Batman figure to have.

Love these two. Especially the above one.

well I just did another mod to my original costume batman that was so ballsy it had be ready to start bidding on another head on ebay. I did the neck shortening mod because I was bored and turned out GREAT. I just took my time like I did when cutting the neck off my nurse joker and then I even attached the cape clips to the cowl as well. My camera is currently with my girlfriend so I cannot take pics. But it looks like this:

but more like this cowl:

He can look down alot more now and also looks more screen accurate not as if this one had many flaws anyways and honestly is perfect in alot of ways. It was easy with a straight edge razor and no need to apply any sort of paint at all.

did it turn out like that?Looks great dude!!!can you share how did you do it?thanks

no problem brother. Yeah it really turned out like the above pic only a little better in my opinion. I used this pic as reference since it is the actual cowl:

I took the head off and then put it on a hard surface and slowly cut it with a straight edge razor. I took a little off at a time since I cannot add more so I was jut careful and then the sides I glued the cape clips on to and now looks amazing. It really is quite easy just use a new blade and it cuts like butter.

Apart from cutting the cowl, did you surely not have to alter the way the head fits on the neck so it can sit lower?

I've also played with the idea to cut something away and do this mod like lou has done it, but wanted to buy first a second HS for testing it and don't mess up with the only one I have :D

Maybe I'll do this now too after I see your pics lou and if it's really that easy like you discribed it...

So hurry up with the pics :D

nope no neck modification required just the cowl. The only thing is I would only recomend this if you are going to pose him looking down. I am going for an iconic look so a long flowing cape and looking down. But it really does improve it. Also I just bought a new camera today for my fiancee since it is her Bday on sunday so I will be taking some pics as soon as it gets in from amazon.

there was only a limited quantity made. Your only bet is to find one off ebay and they will run you about 300 dollars

How can we know the quantity made?
Because I thought that the Joker was sold out quickly but there are everywhere at good price...
The Batman Original is the one we don't find like the others from The Dark Knight Collection...

I need to find it but for 250$ max!

Well friend, the joker is so cheap now because the DX joker is coming out and everybody can't wait to get rid of their old ones.

HOWEVER, the original costume batman is the one and only figure of this style by hottoys thus far, that's why it's a big increase in price. The production has finished way long ago for this figure.

Not sure, but I think maybe the OC Batman wasn't released in the US - just in Asia.

Be patient. The Buy-It-Now price on Ebay is about $300, but every once in a while I see an auction for one that sells at around $240-250.

If you're less demanding, you can even get one that was taken out of the box for a bit cheaper than that. Just a few short months ago, I got mine on Ebay for $210 - it was out of the box, but it came with the box (perfect condition) and all the extras and accessories, in mint condition.
