I opened up this figure today and felt as underwhelmed and disappointed as when I saw the pictures people have been posting. Crazy that my DX09 that came out 13 years ago looks way better than this 2.0. The head sculpt is poor, and the texture on the suit is an eye sore.

Only good thing about this set is the diorama base which I have my DX09 Batman on now. Selling the rest of the figure on ebay and out of my mind. To me, this figure doesn’t exist and the DX09 is the definitive Keaton Batman 89 figure.

Same. Opened it and just cannot comprehend not just the face not being Keaton, but the texture is really really bad on the suit.

It's so hard to pre order something and a lot is guesswork that a 300-400 dollar figure is good in the end.

Its either cancel and lose deposit(these companies who you order from will hold it against you and may ban you), pay for the subpar product keep it, or sell it to recoup some money.

Hot toys has some serious misses, Batman 2.0, Tobey Spidey are most recent.

Pre-ordered Deluxe Batman Returns from Kit last night but in the back of my mind was the wonder about what HT might **** up on that one......
Should be fine, Howard has promised that they are paying extra attention after the 89 2.0 stuff up and that they have nailed Clooney's appearance on the faceplates this time around.

Must say just received this figure and it is a great figure indeed! In hand in natural light the highly criticised body armour doesn’t stand out as much….
The cape is a major improvement for the figure and the diorama is massive!
Was lucky to pick this up knowing it had sold out on preorder at popcultcha is is getting hard to get for a reasonable price with such a small batch made…

This guy was on seconds and I had been contemplating it for that base, so, I grabbed him. Debating if I want to keep him as a placeholder until Jazzinc or whomever revisit him or just say “to hell with it” and try to part him out to recoup some of the costs. I wanted that base (and the shoe), though, and, when I saw people trying to sell the Gargoyle for $180 bucks, alone, on eBay, I figured they can **** right off for what’s, essentially, a $40 chunk of vinyl.:lol

I still have my recent waitlist conversion on flex-pay at SSC, but I have no real intention of keeping it. I just want to see if it becomes worth it to flip the thing, or cancel at the last minute. Would be cool if someone were to start selling copies of the gargoyle, as I wouldn't mind building my own base that would fit inside a detolf.

Mine arrived from BBTS. Ironically, the little protective piece that was supposed to protect the cape got glue on it from the foam bit coming off. Think I managed to get it off with some goo gone. As for the likeness, yeah it's not very good. Still, it looks like the character for the most part

I hate to beat a dead horse but before I sold it, I tried to convince myself it's not that bad, hadn't seen it for a month or so but gave it a final look over

I looked at it yesterday and was just like "nah man nah..that's Michael Keaton's second cousin once removed."

Terrible face, but the texture of the suit is a wtf?

I actually ended up keeping the head as I did a custom Keaton for my batmobile. From far away you kind of see batman Keaton in his batmobile...again from far away, like 15 feet or so.

That base is worth 180-200 bucks because that is what people are paying. Always deduct that from the overall figure as that figure is no bueno.

Essentially a 400 dollar figure is now 200....

Which if we fool ourselves is somewhat acceptable

No, that’s my thought process. No hate on people getting while the getting’s good, but, in my brain, if I could get even 250 out of him, that takes the price of that thing down from $180-200 to $100. I still wonder if you couldn’t make a decent BD Cathedral Bats out of him, though…
