I was fiddling with my original mark 3 and I've somewhat "moved" the midsection a few centimeters. I don't want to force it more than I have to for fear of breaking it but I think there is a midsection "cut" for articulation under there.
Has anyone already disassembled this figure just to see the ab part? I'm really curious to see what's under it.
I've been fixing up the finish on the armour as well as adding black weathering and detailed soot marks like the Iron Man Kotobukiya. Just not as prominent black marks between all the joins. I didn't want to go overboard.
I felt it was far too clean and pristine that I had to weather it up slightly so it's not battle damaged but it's not absolutely perfect either. As if he's been out a few times without any serious action.
Sadly the camera isn't picking up the subtle details apart from the sheen on the bodywork.
With your own eyes it looks less of a toy and more like a collectible like the Battle Damaged version. I always felt it had a cheap light plastic look and texture to it.
This was exposed to the sun too long, right? Hope someone thinks of a fix for this. Would a repaint be possible? Or maybe cast a mold of the torso rubber part to plastic? Then we could disassemble the body to replace the fading rubber with the plastic one.
